There are ten La Liga fixtures on the slate this week, running from Friday, 28th November to Monday, 1st December, and La Liga tipster Ben Smith has set out his bets and predictions along with the best La Liga betting odds for each match.
Elche are winless in La Liga for the past two months, and their away form has taken a clear dip. They have lost their last three on the road. The most recent defeat at Barcelona isn’t a concern, but the losses at Espanyol and Alaves were more telling.
Getafe aren’t the most reliable either, having created very little in their last two matches. This shapes up as a low-scoring game that may well be settled by a single goal.
Betting Tip: Under 1.5 Goals - 27/20 10bet
Sitting 16th and 17th respectively, there is only a point between Mallorca and Osasuna, though home advantage should count for a lot here.
Osasuna’s away form is dreadful. They’ve lost six of seven on the road, with their only point coming in a 0-0 at bottom side Real Oviedo.
Mallorca, meanwhile, have been far more reliable at Campo de Futbol Son Moix. They lost their home opener to Barcelona but haven’t been beaten there since. A home win looks a very fair price.
Betting Tip: Mallorca to Win - 11/8 QuinnBet
Barcelona are yet to face a top-six opponent at home this season, and that continues this weekend as they host Alaves in Catalonia.
Since their 6-0 win over Valencia in September, Barca’s home scorelines have been more restrained, with none of them going over 4.5 goals.
They have still won every one of those matches, though, and that pattern should continue here.
Betting Tip: Barcelona to Win & Under 4.5 Goals - 31/40 Betway
Athletic Club have had a tough away schedule so far and haven’t had much to show for their efforts. They were well beaten at Barcelona, but in their other trips they were unlucky not to return to the Basque region with more.
They were on top for long spells in the loss at Villarreal, and the defeat at Valencia came after a red card on the hour mark derailed them.
Against a Levante side with just one point from five home games, this is a good chance to put things right.
Betting Tip: Athletic Club to Win - 23/20 Coral
Atletico Madrid continued their superb home form with a third straight Champions League win at the Wanda Metropolitano in midweek, beating Inter 2-1 thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Jose Maria Gimenez.
They have also won six league matches in a row at home, and of their nine combined home victories in the two main competitions, seven have gone over 2.5 goals.
Given the clear gulf in quality between them and Real Oviedo, Atletico could cover that line on their own here.
Betting Tip: Atletico Madrid to Win & Over 2.5 Goals - 5/6 QuinnBet
Villarreal suffered a heavy defeat in Dortmund on Tuesday, but they were holding their own until Juan Foyth was sent off in the 50th minute.
Their domestic away form has generally been strong. They lost at both Madrid clubs but collected 10 points from a possible 12 in their other road matches.
This is another tough assignment, with Real Sociedad taking 11 points from their last five games. Goals look a nice angle in, as all of Sociedad’s matches against top-eight opposition have gone over 2.5 this season.
Betting Tip: Over 2.5 Goals - 20/23 QuickBet
Both teams to score has landed in every Betis away game this season, and Sevilla would also have a perfect home record on that front had they not kept a clean sheet against 17th-placed Osasuna last time out.
With plenty of firepower on both sides, there’s no need to overcomplicate this. I’m more than happy to take 3/4 about both teams finding the net.
Betting Tip: Both Teams to Score - 3/4 BetMGM
Aside from their 4-2 defeat to Barcelona earlier this month, all of Celta Vigo’s matches at Estadio de Balaidos have gone under 2.5 goals, so it is a surprise to see the under priced close to even money this week.
Espanyol also look a good candidate for a low-scoring game on their travels, having gone under the line in three of their five away fixtures so far.
Betting Tip: Under 2.5 Goals - 93/100 10bet
Girona started the campaign poorly, but there have been clear signs of improvement in recent weeks. They are unbeaten in four at home and came close to taking a point off Barcelona in Catalonia last month before conceding in stoppage time.
Real Madrid, who had a midweek trip to Greece for Champions League duty, have drawn their last two away league matches at Elche and Rayo Vallecano.
They may not find this as straightforward as the market suggests, and taking Girona on the handicap looks a sensible approach.
Betting Tip: Girona +1.5 Handicap - 10/13 10bet
Rayo Vallecano held Real Madrid to a goalless draw in their last home match, but I’m in no hurry to back them at odds-on here.
They followed that stalemate with another 0-0 at bottom side Oviedo, and have since had a European trip to Bratislava.
Take out the heavy defeats at Real Madrid and Barcelona, and Valencia have been broadly competitive away from home, drawing two and losing two by a single goal. They look a value price to take at least a point.
Betting Tip: Valencia Double Chance - 17/20 10bet
