It's 17th vs 11th as Leverkusen host Eddie Howe's Newcastle looking to build on their 2-0 win against Man City. The visitors will be keen to pick up three key points after losing 2-1 on their travels against Marseille last time out.
Our football expert Nathan Joyes has analysed the Champions League odds and provided his best bet prediction for the match.
After failing to win any of their opening three Champions League matches - including suffering a 7-2 loss against PSG - Leverkusen head into round six on the back of consecutive wins to nil.
A 1-0 win away to Benfica was backed up with a surprise 2-0 win at the Etihad. Although Man City rotated heavily, Leverkusen concentrated on themselves and punished the hosts for not taking them seriously.
And all of a sudden, the German outfit have a chance to climb into the top eight if they beat Newcastle and other results go their way.
They have yet to win at home, which is a concern, especially having lost to Dortmund last time out 2-1 in front of their supporters.
Newcastle will have been bitterly disappointed with their defeat in Marseille having led 1-0 at half-time. However, having won their previous away match 4-0 against Union SG, Newcastle will be in a confident mood heading to Germany that they can pick up maximum points.
Unbeaten in their last three Premier League games, Howe's side have scored eight goals within those matches, with both Bruno Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon in top form.
In the Champions League, the Toon Army have held their own, winning three of their five games which has given them a chance of securing a top eight spot. A win in Germany is entirely possible - and could lift them above Real Madrid if results go their way.
This is the first meeting between these two sides since 2003. Newcastle beat Leverkusen 3-1 - twice - in the Champions League. Shola Ameobi scored a brace in Germany before Alan Shearer scored a hattrick back at St. James' Park.
Although Leverkusen have won their last two, Newcastle pose an entirely different threat and the visitors can record their fourth Champions League win of the campaign. Nathan Joyes provides his Champions League best bet for the match below.
Leverkusen (2/1 with Betfred) have struggled in the Champions League this season. Although defeats against PSG and Bayern were expected, conceding 10 against them wasn't.
Their win on the road against Benfica was a smash and grab result, and if Man City had fielded their strongest side, their poor record against English clubs would no doubt have continued.
And perhaps that result has given them false hope and the bookmakers haven't factored that in. They've since lost two domestic matches, and they aren't the same team as they once were under Xabi Alonso.
Newcastle (4/3 with Betano) head to Germany in a confident mood. Having lost just one of their last five matches - Howe's side are finding their stride. And if Nick Pope hadn't come rushing out of his goal in Marseille, Newcastle may have been facing Leverkusen unbeaten in five.
But how ruthless they have been in front of goal since will worry the hosts. Newcastle themselves beat Man City - but their preferred XI - only a few weeks ago. That kind of performance would see them pick off Levekusen, who haven't fired at home in this competition.
