The new Premier League season is set to start with a bang at Turf Moor as newly promoted Burnley host Manchester City on Friday evening. bet365 are starting the season with a particularly generous looking Super Boost - seeing City's price enhanced from 3/10 (1.30) to Even money (2.0)*. This offer is open to both new and existing bet365 customers too. It certainly looks a shrewd way to start the campaign given the regular odds for this match.

In order to claim the offer, simply log into your bet365 account, or open a new one. The offer is clearly displayed on the homepage and Soccer pages under the Bet Boost section. Simply add this to your bet slip, enter your stake and confirm the bet.
Given that Man City are the reigning Premier League and European champions, this price looks especially tempting as Pep Guardiola's side look to kick off the new campaign with three points. Having won 28 of their 38 league fixtures in the 2022/23 season, few would back against the visitors in this one. However, their regular odds may have meant the majority of punters sought alternative angles or placed them into mutliples instead. Now, City to win at Evens (2.0) looks a very solid way to start the season.
The enhanced odds imply City have a 50% chance of winning the game when in reality their chances are a lot higher. The visitors saw off had a nearly flawless record on the road against teams that finished in the bottom half of the Premier League table last season, dropping just two points from a total of 30 available. There is little reason to suspect that they will start slowly here.
While the narrative around Vincent Kompany facing his former club may dominate the headlines, the Clarets will have their work cut out to restrict a team that had both the best attack and best defensive record last season. Led by Erling Haaland of course, City's forward line netted a total of 94 goals and few would back against them getting off to another hot start here. Guardiola's side are the odds-on title favourites, priced around 8/11 (1.73) to extend their run of titles.
Burnley aren't being dismissed by the bookmakers to make a winning start under the lights, but quotes of 7/1 (8.0) about the hosts coming out on top would seem to be an accurate representation of their chances, even considering their impressive run to the Championship title and some solid summer business. Kompany will know more about Manchester City than most opposition managers this term, but stopping the likes of Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish may prove to be a step too far for the Beligan. The draw is available at 9/2 (5.50).
