Man City will look to extend their unbeaten Champions League run when an underperforming Bayer Leverkusen arrives at the Etihad on Tuesday. Will Pep Guardiola be able to shake off the Newcastle defeat and return to winning ways?
Our very own football expert Nathan Joyes has analysed the Champions League betting odds and provided his best bet.
Man City's four match winning streak came to an end at the weekend when they fell short against Newcastle on the road. However, that was only Guardiola's second defeat in his last 10 matches, and not many teams pick up points at St. James' Park.
At the Etihad, Man City are much more comfortable. Currently on a seven match winning run, scoring at least two goals in all of those victories, Man City have also registered four clean sheets while only conceding three.
It's far from panic stations just yet - and a far cry from where Man City were last season. And that is reflected in their Champions League performances.
With 10 points from a possible 12 - only denied maximum by a last minute Monaco penalty - Guardiola's side are looking strong in Europe.
The same can't be said about Leverkusen. Domestically, they have been doing well, and head into this match on the back of two wins and scoring nine goals.
But with just one win from four Champions League games - which included a 7-2 hammering at home against PSG - there's certainly work to be done.
Draws against Copenhagen and PSV won't concern Man City, and neither will their narrow win against an average Benfica side in Portugal, largely to do with their record against German sides on home soil.
Leverkusen have performed strongly on the road but those wins have all come against sides not at the same level as their next opponent.
This will be the first ever meeting between the two sides. However, it's interesting to note that Man City have won their last 13 Champions League home matches against German opposition, while Leverkusen have lost eight of their last 10 away trips against English teams.
With Man City delivering strong performances in the Champions League, while Leverkusen continue to look shaky at the back, a home win looks to be the banker. But what's the best value bet?
Nathan Joyes lines up his best Champions League angle for the match.
Man City (2/9 with Betfred) are a short price to beat Leverkusen, but their incredible track record over the Germans has surely been considered into their odds.
They comfortably beat Dortmund 4-1 earlier in the campaign - a side sitting just one point behind Leverkusen in the Bundesliga - and perhaps a telling scoreline as to what we might witness at the Etihad on Tuesday.
Man City have been almost unstoppable at home this season, and no doubt Erling Haaland will once again play his role against a side he's previously scored plenty past.
Leverkusen (11/1 with Betano) are massive outsiders. They don't often leave England with points and their poor performances in the competition to date are highly concerning against one of the best.
PSG put seven past them, and while Man City might not to do the same, they can certainly score at least two for the eighth match in a row.
