Newcastle return home with a spring in their step after hammering Everton 4-1, and will now face a struggling Spurs side at St. James' Park on Tuesday evening.
Can the hosts make it back to back wins for the first time since October? Our Premier League expert Nathan Joyes provides his thoughts and best bet for the match.
After beating Man City in the Premier League, Newcastle were quickly brought back down to earth with a 2-1 defeat against Marseille in the Champions League. However, if it wasn't for a Nick Pope howler, Newcastle may have left France with at least a point.
Still, Newcastle didn't let that impact them as they travelled to Liverpool with a point to prove - and immediately won the fans back. A 4-1 win against Everton - only their second home defeat of the season - was excellent from start to finish.
Malick Thiaw scored inside the first minute and by half-time it was 3-0 and game over. Eddie Howe secure the perfect reaction and now get to return home and prove to their fans their season is firmly back on track.
It appears to be one disaster after another for Spurs - and Thomas Frank's position must in under pressure after their latest 2-1 defeat against Fulham.
Languishing in 12th, Spurs are closer to the relegation zone than their are arch-rivals Arsenal in 1st - and the gap between themselves and the Champions League spots is starting to grow.
On their travels, however, it does read much better. Tottenham have the third best form on the road - only behind London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea - having collected 13 points from a possible 18.
The pressure away from their fans may be the difference - but after their latest loss, the spotlight is firmly on Frank and he needs to start winning games - and fast.
Look ahead now, Spurs fans. That's because Tottenham haven't beaten Newcastle in their last five meetings and you have to go back to 2021 the last time Spurs beat Newcastle at St. James' Park.
Howe has already got the better of Frank's team this season, beating them 2-0 in the EFL Cup thanks to a first half strike from Fabian Schar and second half goal from Nick Woltemade.
With Spurs winless from their last four matches, and having lost their last three away games, Nathan Joyes believes the Premier League odds for this match are very much in favour of the hosts. Let's read his best bet below.
Newcastle (7/10 with Betfred) are odds-on favourites to be the latest side to beat Spurs (15/4) with Betano) but it's a price worth backing.
The hosts are unbeaten in their last ten midweek Premier League matches (Tuesday - Thursday) winning seven and drawing three. They have also got the better of Spurs this season - albeit in the cup.
But confidence has been restored after their successful midweek trip to Liverpool, and having previously beaten Man City at home, fans will be expectant of another positive result.
Although Spurs are better on their travels, performances have been lacking, and this doesn't look like a game where they can stop the rot.
