Olympiacos are still searching for their first Champions League win of the campaign while Real Madrid head to Greece having won three of their four matches. On paper, it looks as though Xabi Alonso's side will bounce back from their defeat against Liverpool last time out.
But will it play out that way? Our football expertNathan Joyes has take a close look at the Champions League betting and provides his best bet for the match.
Olympiacos have plenty of work to do if they are to qualify to the knockout stages this season. An underwhelming 0-0 draw with Pafos in round one has set the tone for their campaign, which was followed up with back-to-back defeats against Arsenal and Barcelona.
And while the Greek giants weren't expected to win either of those matches, they were seconds away from beating PSV at home last time out, only for Ricardo Pepi to put the ball in the back of the net with almost the final kick.
However, the hosts do welcome back Argentine midfielder Santiago Hezze after his controversial red card against Barcelona, and his role in the middle of the park will be crucial if they are to get anything against Real Madrid.
It's not often Real Madrid head into any fixture on the back of a three match winless run - and no doubt Alonso will look to get back on track in Piraeus on Wednesday evening.
Despite heading to Anfield having just beaten Barcelona and Valencia, Real Madrid fell short and were second best all night. Since then, consecutive draws on their travels against Rayo Vallecano and Elche have followed.
It's not quite panic stations just yet, especially considering Los Blancos have won three of their four Champions League matches. However, all is not well within the camp. Rodrygo's lack of minutes has the Brazilian distracted, while Vinicius Jr's relationship with Alonso is currently stretched.
These two sides haven't locked horns since 2007 when the Greeks managed to hold the La Liga giants to a 0-0 draw in the old Champions Leagye group stage format. In fact, Olympiacos have hosted Real Madrid on four occasions between 1997 and 2007 and have never lost (W1 D3).
Olympiacos must improve but they will believe they have an outside chance due to Real Madrid's current form. Will we witness a shock result in Greece? Nathan Joyes provides his Champions League best bet for the match.
For those that believe Real Madrid's slump is set to continue, the Greek's are currently 5/1 with Betfred to record their second ever win over the Spanish giants. However, it's difficult to ignore how easily Arsenal (2-0) and Barcelona (6-1) brushed them to one side.
Would Barcelona's scoreline got so out of hand if Hezze hadn't of been sent off? It's difficult to say, but Olympiacos have only conceded three from their other three Champions League matches.
For those that like to back a favourite, Real Madrid (2/5 with Betano) will certainly be thrown into many accumulators across the week. But it's important to mention that Olympiacos are 22 games unbeaten at home in 2025.
Admittedly, they haven't faced someone of Real Madrid's calibre on home soil, but it's hard to ignore, especially when they arrive into this fixture on the back of consecutive victories.
Real Madrid should win. But will it get out of hand? I don't think so, therefore the value is with the hosts.
