Premier League Acca Tips With BetMGM

Four teams remain perfect at the top of the Premier League table after the opening two gameweeks. It is no surprise to see Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City setting the pace, but few would have predicted Hull City taking maximum points from their first two matches of the campaign.

The Tigers, who stunned Manchester United on the opening weekend, backed that result up with a 1-0 success over fellow newly promoted side Coventry City, who are yet to collect a point.

Ipswich Town acquitted themselves well at Old Trafford and took the lead inside the opening half-hour, but a second-half collapse allowed the Red Devils to run out comfortable victors. That result sealed a 40/1 winner for our gameweek two acca!

Newcastle United claimed their first triumph under Matthias Jaissle, with Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa continuing to look revitalised under the German. The result heaped further misery on Roberto De Zerbi’s Tottenham Hotspur, who remain without a point or a goal.

Liverpool had to settle for another draw after falling behind against Nottingham Forest. They have since completed their third nine-figure signing in the space of two summers, bringing in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.

That fee was topped by Manchester City’s capture of Enzo Fernandez, while the Cityzens also signed Iliman Ndiaye from Everton on a hectic transfer deadline day.

With the window now closed, attention turns fully to matters on the pitch. Premier League tipster Ben Smith is looking to follow last week’s winning acca with another five-leg multiple covering this weekend’s fixtures from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6.

All selections are available with BetMGM, which is offering competitive Premier League odds across the board.

Ipswich Town v Liverpool - BTTS & Over 1.5 Liverpool Goals (Evens)

Both of Liverpool’s matches so far have finished 2-2, with the four goals falling short of the total expected goals on each occasion.

The Reds look astonishingly easy to get at. Newcastle scored twice against them in transition, while Nottingham Forest’s opener came from a long ball forward by goalkeeper Matz Sels before Andoni Iraola’s side switched off and conceded a second-half penalty.

Ipswich deservedly scored twice at Old Trafford and are more than capable of breaching this vulnerable Liverpool backline.

At the other end, the Reds have no shortage of players capable of contributing. Victor Munoz opened his account in style at Anfield after being assisted by Florian Wirtz, who had earlier seen a goal ruled out for offside. Alexander Isak is also off the mark after benefiting from a superb piece of play by Cody Gakpo.

For good measure, star signing Barcola could make his debut from the bench and help Liverpool add to the scoring.

Newcastle United v Bournemouth - BTTS & Newcastle Double Chance (10/11)

The departures of Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon could soon be forgotten on Tyneside. If the performance at home to Liverpool was encouraging, Sunday’s textbook away display against Spurs provided further evidence that Newcastle are heading in the right direction under Jaissle.

Nico Gonzalez enjoyed an excellent debut, bringing composure to the midfield and launching the opening goal with a superb diagonal pass.

Newcastle look set to continue their progress, but Bournemouth possess plenty of quality and created 2.66 xG against Everton last weekend. With that in mind, I prefer to keep the draw onside while also backing both teams to score.

Hull City v Aston Villa - Nicolas Jackson to Score or Assist (23/20)

So far this season, Hull have replicated what they achieved throughout the whole of last term, losing the xG battle but still picking up points.

These quirks tend to catch up with teams eventually, and that could happen this weekend, making Aston Villa’s price to win tempting.

However, Villa cannot be completely trusted defensively, so I would prefer to take the result out of the equation and simply back Nicolas Jackson to score or assist.

It would be unfair to judge him too harshly on the Arsenal game. I prefer to focus on the attacking upside he showed at Chelsea and Bayern Munich, where his goal and key-pass numbers suggest there is value in his price here.

Everton v Manchester United - Bruno Fernandes to Score or Assist (23/20)

Sentiment around Everton and their transfer business is overwhelmingly negative. They have left themselves with just 18 outfield players, including only one recognised centre-forward, one right-back and one left-back.

Their options are desperately thin, and Manchester United could take advantage. As with Aston Villa, though, I have concerns about the Red Devils at the other end, so a player prop looks the better route.

Bruno Fernandes fits the bill. Fresh from a hat-trick last weekend and having registered 21 assists last season, he looks more than fairly priced to score or assist on Merseyside.

Arsenal v Chelsea - Arsenal to Win & Under 4.5 Goals (21/20)

The most attractive fixture on the weekend slate looks even more appetising following Chelsea’s thrilling 3-2 and 4-3 victories.

However, Arsenal are unlikely to be drawn into a shootout. They have the quality and organisation to play these matches on their own terms, which should result in a low-scoring affair that they can edge to deliver a reality check to one of their nearest title rivals.
