Scotland welcome Greece to Hampden Park on Friday evening hoping to extend their unbeaten run and reach the 2026 World Cup. After hammering Belarus 5-1, Greece fell short against Denmark on home soil, and they will be looking to return to winning ways as they travel for the first time.

After holding Denmark to a 0-0 draw in their own back yard, Scotland secured a 2-0 win on the road against Belarus to remain unbeaten - and on track - for the World Cup.
Their 0-0 draw in Copenhagen was no fluke either, where the hosts only managed to have two shots on target all match, failing to create an clearcut chances in front of their own fans.
It would have been typical Scotland to sabotage that result in their following match, but two goals in either half was enough to brush Belarus to one side in an empty stadium.
This will prove to be another stern test, but at Hampden Park, the fans will be in fine voice - and the Greeks may find this trickier than the odds suggest.
Greece could not have had more contrasting results from their opening matches. After hammering Belarus 5-1 at home, they were in a confident mood about a positive outcome vs Denmark.
However, the Danes bounced back from their draw and brushed Greece to one side with a 3-0 win in Piraeus. What was more concerning was Greece only managed one shot on target and finished with an xG of just 0.17.
Denmark dominated from start to finish, and now that's four goals Greece have conceded within two matches. If they don't tighten up defensively, their World Cup dream could be over before it has even begun.
A positive for Greece is the fact they have recently played Scotland - twice - and won both matches. These two nations faced off in the Nations League relegation play-offs, where Greece won 4-0 on aggregate - including a 3-0 win at Hampden Park.
Clearly not intimidated by the venue - or atmosphere - Greece may bounce back in style.
With both nations looking to secure a spot at the 2026 World Cup, this match could help shape the look of Group C quite considerably. Will the hosts remain unbeaten or will Greece make it three wins over Scotland inside 12 months? Nathan Joyes gives his football betting tip.
Scotland will know a home win would put them in a strong position at the halfway stage in Group C - while the visitors are looking to leapfrog their next opponents and pull two points clear. It's certainly an intriguing match for the neutral.
And this is where Scotland are likely to be less cautious compared to their away performances. They will know they will need to win their home matches if they are to finish in the top two - there's no doubt about it.
Scotland had moments vs Denmark - which is more than what Greece can say - before delivering a professional performance against Belarus. There's goals within this team and all eyes will be on Napoli's Scott McTominay to provide the goods.
But Greece won't go down without a fight. Their recent results against Scotland have been solid, and the way they dismantled Belarus was highly impressive.
With that in mind, both teams to score around the evens mark looks generous. Bookmakers believe this will be cagey, but Scotland won't want to be too cautious at home - and that might just open the game up in our favour.
TIP: Both teams to score at 19/20 with BetMGM.
