Spurs not delivering

It has been a case of one step forward and two back all season long for Spurs. After back-to-back wins against Brentford and Slavia Prague, Spurs fell to a 3-0 defeat at the City Ground last Sunday.

The performance was incredibly poor, hitting the target just once and failing to create anything meaningful inside the 90 minutes.

That's now just one win in their last seven Premier League matches - and patience is wearing thin for certain parts of the fanbase.

At home, form has been slightly better, registering three wins from their last five matches - but two of those have come in the Champions League against Copenhagen and Slavia Prague. Liverpool will be another tough test for Frank, and Spurs could find themselves as low as 14th and in serious trouble if they lose again.

Liverpool finding their feet

While attention has firmly been on Mohamed Salah and his performances this campaign, Liverpool have slowly improved in recent weeks, and head to London unbeaten in their last five (W3 D2).

All three wins have come with a clean sheet, including their last two matches vs Inter Milan and Brighton. Perhaps a corner has finally been turned for Arne Slot and his side can concentrate on climbing up the table rather than drama off it.

Salah won't be available for this match - or for at least the next two weeks - as he's at AFCON with Egypt. But even without him, their new signing Hugo Ekitike has been writing his own headlines.

The young Frenchman has scored four goals in his last three matches, including a brace last weekend against Brighton. He could be the difference once again as Liverpool look to sign off the year in the top four.

Liverpool have won four of their last five matches against Spurs, scoring at least four goals in each of those victories. The last time Liverpool faced Spurs away from home they emphatically won 6-3 in the Premier League thanks to Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah who scored braces that evening.

Having picked up just eight points from a possible 24, only Burnley, West Ham and Wolves have secured less. Highly concerning for Thomas Frank if he wants to keep his job until the end of the season.

Liverpool (1/1 with Betano) themselves haven't been great on their travels, but head to the capital unbeaten in their last three away matches, including a solid 1-0 win at the San Siro.

Defensively, they've improved drastically of late. Restricting Brighton to just one shot on target at Anfield was a huge step in the right direction - and they'll be in a confident mood - even with Salah in their squad.

Liverpool's record over Spurs has been solid for some time, and they can extend that and take advantage of their opponents' poor run of form.
