The Championship is back this week, with midweek action on Tuesday and Wednesday. Louie Truman has selected four teams for this week's football tips accumulator, with all four selections available through BetMGM, where you can also check out the latest Championship odds.
Norwich travel to Pride Park looking to secure their third consecutive league win, and I think the Canaries are worth backing against an out-of-form Derby side. Philippe Clement's side have struggled for much of the campaign, losing eight of their opening 11 league matches. However, they've improved recently, picking up back-to-back wins against Charlton and Watford.
Norwich were 2-0 down at half-time against Watford, but produced an impressive second-half performance to win 3-2. Ben Chrisene, Anthony Musaba and Paris Maghoma were the goal scorers. Despite their poor league position, the Canaries have scored more goals than any other team in the bottom half of the table.
Derby have plenty of problems themselves. John Eustace's side are without a win in nine matches and were comfortably beaten 4-1 by Millwall at the weekend. The Rams found themselves three goals behind after just 17 minutes, highlighting their defensive struggles. Derby are averaging 1.92 goals conceded per 90, and the Rams have beaten Norwich just once in their last five meetings.
Southampton travel to The Hawthorns to face West Brom on Tuesday evening, and I think both teams to score looks like a great option. The visitors have made an encouraging start to the Championship campaign and are starting to find some form. The Saints have been scoring regularly; Tonda Eckert's side currently sits in fifth, with eight wins, three draws and two losses.
Southampton will take confidence from their recent wins over West Ham and QPR. Both were difficult fixtures on paper, but the Saints managed to secure impressive wins.
West Brom also enjoyed a good start, and they picked up an important win over West Ham last weekend. The Baggies are currently one place above Southampton in the table, and they've been excellent going forward. Eric Ramsay's side have scored nine goals in their last four.
West Brom have a good record at home, so they'll be confident heading into Tuesday's fixture. The Baggies have avoided defeat in 12 of their last 13 league fixtures at home. However, Southampton have been playing well recently and have won four of their last six meetings with West Brom. I think the Saints have a good chance of getting on the scoresheet, so both teams to score is the best bet for me.
QPR face Burnley on Tuesday, and I'm going with under 2.5 goals as my best selection. The hosts have shown plenty of attacking quality in recent weeks, with Richard Kone particularly impressive in front of goal. Kone scored a hat-trick in 15 minutes against Swansea. However, their defensive record remains a concern, and Julien Stephan will be hoping for a much-improved performance after Saturday's defeat at Southampton; the Hoops conceded four goals.
Burnley have endured a difficult start to the campaign, picking up just one league win so far. However, they looked more organised in Fabio Celestini's first game in charge, as the Clarets kept Portsmouth quiet in a goalless draw.
I think Burnley will be difficult to break down, while QPR could take a more cautious approach after conceding four goals at the weekend. Neither side has been particularly great, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a low-scoring game.
Watford come up against Lincoln at Vicarage Road, and I think both teams to score could be worth backing. Alessio Dionisi's side have had a poor few weeks, losing six of their last seven league games. The Hornets were beaten 3-2 by Norwich on Saturday, despite leading 2-0 at half-time, so they'll aim to bounce back.
Lincoln also suffered a defeat at the weekend, losing 3-1 against Birmingham. Michael Skubala's side created plenty of opportunities but didn't take enough of their chances. Defensively, both teams have struggled, with only two sides outside the bottom three conceding more goals. Both teams to score has also landed in all three of Lincoln's last three matches.
Watford will be hoping to get back to winning ways at home, but I think Lincoln can cause them problems. Both sides have struggled defensively, so I'm going with both teams to score.
