This Sunday, Everton welcome Arsenal to Goodison Park for the late kick off and It does look a very one sided game on paper, but both teams will be eager to take some points from the game for very different reasons. Recent Form

Everton have had a real slow start to the season losing their first three games without scoring, before scraping a point away to Sheffield United and really will need to find some form here if they are to get anything out of the game here against Arsenal. It’s early in the season but the worry with Everton here is they don’t seem to have very strong attacking options and it really is putting them on the back foot from what we have seen of them this season. Arsenal however have started with three wins and one draw and seem to be full of confidence this season, and will come into this game in the same manner after beating Manchester United 3-1 at home before the international break.

In the last 5 meetings between these two clubs Arsenal have won 3, and Everton have won two but right now there does seem to be a big difference in the class of these two teams. Everton are surely going to give this a good go but they do lack in attacking options so it will be a difficult to break Arsenal down who are coming into the game full of confidence, but whatever happens, we are in for an entertaining game.

The final game of the week is going to be entertaining for sure, but as I have already highlighted, Everton’s lack of attacking options is a huge worry when you come up against a team like Arsenal and even if they are able to get their opportunities, you really can’t feel too confident that Everton will take advantage of them. I think I’d be surprised to see them on the score sheet this week. Arsenal however come into this game with a fully fit squad bar Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, but have the positions covered with the depth of squad they have and they have been causing teams plenty of problems with the way they have started the season. I’d like to see Everton get something out of this game but I just can’t see how that will happen. I think the more Everton attack Arsenal, the more it will just fall into Arsenal's lap and over the course of the match I think Arsenal will just wear Everton down and come away with a comfortable win. Arsenal are just 1/2 to win this game outright and even though that is a short price, I think Arsenal are plenty of value for it and should actually be shorter. I think it will take a little while for Arsenal to break Everton down though so it won’t be a huge score. A 2-0 Arsenal win at 7/1 also looks like the bet me here.
