Friday’s NAP horse racing selection is…

BURNAGE BOY | 2.35 Wetherby - Win @ 7/1

Now BURNAGE BOY could be worth taking a chance on here against 3 that are fighting it out for favouritism. BURNAGE BOY is trained by Micky Hammond and although he is still a maiden over hurdles, he has posted some really good numbers in defeat earning him an official rating of 115. That’s better than all 3 at the head of the market!

Last time out, he ran a very eye-catching race, staying on well over a trip which probably wasn’t ideal for him. Prior to that run he ran 2 really good runner up efforts over at Sedgefield, over a more suitable trip and the drop back to that trip here should suit him really well. He comes into this race under a featherweight in comparison to the leading market rivals, and also receives a further 7lb off his back with Jack Hogan taking the ride.

Jack got a really good tune out of him in November and with conditions likely to suit BURNAGE BOY better than some of the others I think the 7/1 is worth a bet! He won’t have to improve much to get involved and he’s only 6. This is definitely a possibility - what are you waiting for?
