Ginger Joe's Thursday Horse Racing Tips
OUT FROM UNDER - 1.15 Newmarket @ 9/4
This horse brings his best form into this race and is likely to be ready to go first time out. His breeding suggests that he should have matured a lot as a three-year-old and I think he will take a lot of beating.
Although this is a Maiden Stakes, he was technically first past the post at Ffos Las, before being relegated to second place following a Stewards enquiry. His ‘offence’ was hanging left up the straight, but he was miles better next time out.
I think Out From Under is short enough in the betting, but he definitely is the one I’m on in this race and he has a big chance here to break his Maiden.
TWILIGHT CALLS - 4.45 Newmarket @ 3/1
Twilight Calls was highly-rated at the beginning of this year and won two really good Sprints. He duly went in the notebook of a lot of punters after those wins, including mine. His last two runs of the season were slightly underwhelming, but that said, they were in big fields and he only went down by a combined distance of five lengths to some very good sorts. Also, both were on much softer ground than he had raced on previously.
Twilight Calls gets his ideal conditions here, with the ground drying out well at present and I genuinely think he is the one to beat.
