J: Jim Crowley / T: Marcus Tregoning
ZUHAIR gets my vote in this and had been nicely progressive up until his latest run where he was a shade disappointing. There is a short priced favourite in this in the name of NEENEE’S CHOICE however I think ZUHAIR showed a potential class edge on his first two outings this year and I think he will be able to resume progress again here.
He went into my tracker after winning on his seasonal debut and I think he is going to do better still. At the prices he gets my vote and his trainer Tregoning does tend to excel at these sorts of trips. The extra 2 furlongs will help and expect a big run from this one.
J: Ben Curtis / T: Mark Johnston
KEHAILAAN is another that had been progressive up until his latest start. He was runner up on his first two starts this year and backed that up with a really good win next time out. He looked like a really progressive type that day with a bright future but was tailed off in a 6 runner event on his latest start when he was a well supported favourite. The post race examination failed to show any abnormalities suggesting the horse just didn't want to go that day.
The Johnston camp had a few other bad runners that day so it's probably fair to just put a line through that run. I think his 9/2 price is huge based on all of his 3 other starts this year and may just reflect his latest effort but again, that form is likely to be left well behind here. Big player.
J: Oisin Murphy / T: Michael Bell
TARDIS is a fascinating 2y-o filly and she did extremely well to win from her position last time out. The turn of foot she showed in the final half a furlong was devastating and she clearly has more ability to unlock considering she won despite all of the complications early on in the race.
She is a bit of a wild one as a character but her ability is what I think will help her get the job done in this. She faces some really good rivals in this Group 3 but I really think she has a bright future ahead of her and the 4/1 could look really big after the race.
J: Ryan Moore / T: Hugo Palmer
CHOCOYA is one that I think has gone under the radar in this and I think there is a big run on the cards. The best run she has put up to date, was when Ryan Moore rode her and he is on board again this time after running a very similar prep race. CHOCOYA doesn't seem the most straight-forward.
However, she may well be primed for this and considering there are 4 fighting out favouritism, I think she may go unnoticed here at a big price. She has conditions which will likely suit her and this may be the time to catch her. She is up to this on her best form and overpriced if we base her form on that run alone. Likely to outrun her odds in this and the 14/1 is very big. She has a big chance here!
