FRIDAYS NAP SELECTION

FANTASTIKAS - 3.00 Lingfield @ 7/2

FANTASTIKAS is a smashing novice who is really learning well on the job. He takes on some decent rivals today but I think he has enough in the tank to get the job done. He has some strong course and distance form, with a win here in November on what was his chase debut. Since then he has placed in two deep Grade 2’s with conditions and a trip which were far from ideal for him.

He has a drop back in class here and was far from disgraced in his two Grade 2 efforts and is still far from reaching his ceiling. The untapped potential he has could bring him ahead of these and his RPR of 152 definitely underwhelms that ability. His main danger to me will be HOLD THAT TAUGHT, who ran very well for a long way in the Welsh National and will be a hard one to pass.

However, FANTASTIKAS looks open to so much more and I do fancy him quite strongly!
