Hello Racing fans and welcome back to a new week of selections! I had a real strong week last week including 16/1, 12/, 11/1 & 8/1 winners - so stay tuned for more this week! I have a Thursday NAP plus two more selections for you to get stuck into at Perth and Newmarket. You can also find my bonus selections on my YouTube channel!
Below are my Thursday selections. Thank you for all of your support so far, and don't forget to check out my socials @gingerjoeracing on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter & Facebook for daily updates!
MAKKA PAKKA is my only selection at Perth and one that I think will take all the beating from the Dr Richard Newland yard. The stable have had him since a 5y-o but have had to be really patient with him. He is now a really unexposed 8y-o and takes his chance here over fences for just the second time.
The odds-on favourite from the Gordon Elliott stable is likely to be popular, but his form has been a bit hit and miss and I think MAKKA PAKKA is the one most likely to relish the trip and conditions here. Sam Twiston Davies is on board and he has a great strike when riding for the stable. This one could be a great alternative against a short priced favourite.
LOVELY BREEZE is the only 3y-o in the race and I think she takes all the beating here. She is the one that is open to the most improvement and I think she could just be a little bit better than her rivals in this. She has won twice this year already and has been highly tried throughout the campaign. She is likely to take a big step forward here and I could see her coming late and picking off the field one by one. Big chance at a very generous 5/1.
NOONDAY GUN ran much better than expected last time out when he stepped into Listed Company for the first time, and should be able to step up again here. He only finished a length and a half behind the progressive YES YES last time out and looked like another step up in trip would bring out some more improvement in him still.
He isn't actually bred to stay this far but evidently based on the running style we have seen, it would be fair to assume he hasn't stopped improving and is very likely to outrun his odds in this. A repeat of his last performance puts him bang there and he won well on his penultimate start too so he’s clearly in fine form and ready to run a big race again.
