1:50pm 1m2f (1m1f197y) Coral Kincsem Heritage Handicap (Class 2)
Dial Me In is much better than his Royal Ascot run suggests, and this drop back in trip looks tailor‑made for him. He travelled into the race nicely over 1m4f before fading late, never really landing a blow, but the way he moved through the early part from a poor position showed he still retains plenty of ability. It simply looked a case of not staying the extended trip. His penultimate run, a strong runner‑up effort over 10.5f on good ground has been well franked at Listed level since, and that form paints him as a progressive colt who’s still improving. He won on debut over 7f, handles soft and good ground, and has repeatedly shaped like a horse who’s most effective between 8 and 10f, exactly where he returns today.
Dial Me In has already shown he can travel strongly, quicken, and sustain a run when conditions suit. With the trip back in his favour, he should be able to resume his upward curve. His trainer is in good form, he wasn’t knocked about once beaten at Ascot, and he arrives here fresh enough to show his true ability. There are dangers, Gonna Fly should appreciate this stiffer test, Harmonics is a strong stayer, and Savvy Disko is progressive but Dial Me In’s profile, form boosts, and the trip change all point towards a much better showing.

2:25pm 6f Markel Richmond Stakes (Group 2) (Colts & Geldings) (Class 1)
Flann Sunna has made a seriously impressive start to his career and arrives here unbeaten, untested, and full of potential. He burst onto the scene at Windsor, travelling strongly and quickening instantly when asked, putting the race to bed with a level of authority you don’t often see from a debutant. That performance hinted he was well above average, and his follow‑up run at Ascot confirmed it. Stepping into a conditions race, he defied a penalty with ease, travelling with enthusiasm before producing a sharp, instant turn of foot to streak clear by 5 lengths. The clock backed up what the eyes saw, he’s fast, professional, and improving rapidly. His stable won this race in 2023, and Flann Sunna looks cut from the same cloth, a colt who can take a rise in grade in his stride.
He’s twice shown he’s fully effective at 6f on good to firm ground, and he shapes like one who’ll stay further in time. His dam was a sprinter, but Flann Sunna has that blend of speed and composure that marks out a proper Group horse. There are dangers, Cut A Dash ran a big race in the Coventry, Adaay Of Scarlett continues to progress, and Night In Vegas shouldn’t be underestimated. But Flann Sunna remains the unknown quantity, the one with the potential to be much better than the rest. He’s travelled sweetly, quickened instantly, and won decisively on both starts. With more to come and a yard proven at this level, he looks the one they all have to beat now stepping up in class.

3:00pm.1m4f (1m3f218y) Maison Perrier Gordon Stakes (Group 3) (Class 1) (3yo)
Enceladus has taken big steps forward this season and arrives here looking like a colt firmly on the up. He broke his maiden at Cork over 10.5f, knuckling down well in a proper duel on good to yielding ground, showing both stamina and determination. That effort hinted he’d improve again over middle distances, and he proved exactly that at Royal Ascot. Upped to 1m4f for his handicap debut in the King George V Stakes, he travelled smoothly, improved entering the straight, and got first run on the field before tenaciously keeping them at bay. The form has worked out beautifully, the runner‑up bolted up last Friday, and the third has since finished a close third in Listed company. Everything points to Enceladus being a scopey, progressive colt with plenty more to come.
He’s effective from 8 to 12f, acts on soft, yielding and good‑to‑firm ground, and his middle distance pedigree suggests he’ll continue improving as the season goes on. Despite needing to find a little more on ratings, he’s the one arriving with momentum while several rivals still have questions to answer. Bay Of Brilliance and Geryon have ability, but Enceladus looks ready to take another leap forward now stepping up in class, and he should be a leading player once again.

3:35pm 1m2f Qatar Nassau Stakes (Group 1) (Fillies & Mares) (Class 1) (3yo+)
Diamond Necklace comes here with an unbeaten record and a profile that keeps getting stronger. She’s 5 from 5, and her last three wins have all come at Group 1 level, marking her out as one of the very best middle distance fillies in Europe. This season she’s already landed the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches on heavy ground at Longchamp and then showed real grit to win the Prix de Diane at Chantilly, holding on by a short head in a tight finish. That French Oaks form has since been boosted in the Irish equivalent, underlining just how strong it was. She’s versatile, effective from 1m to 10f, handles soft through good to firm, and keeps finding more when asked.
Her trainer has an outstanding record with 3yos in this race, winning it six times, including the last two runnings, and Diamond Necklace fits that same mould, tough, classy, and still improving.Friendly Soul looks the biggest danger, while Botagoz and See The Fire have solid claims, but Diamond Necklace has already shown she’s a top class filly with more to come over middle distances. Maintaining her unbeaten record looks a very realistic possibility.

4:10pm 5f Buccellati Handicap (Class 3) (3yo 0-95)
Miss Yechance shaped far better than the bare result on her stable debut at Royal Ascot and looks primed to step forward now. She arrived there after a four month break, having already shown plenty of speed as a 2yo with wins at Catterick and later in Dubai, where she landed a Meydan handicap. That Dubai form suggests she’s on a very workable mark, and her new yard is more than capable of unlocking improvement. At Ascot she had plenty against her, drawn away from the favoured side, forced to race in the centre, and she even lost a shoe. Despite all that, she travelled well for a long way and wasn’t beaten far, less than two lengths covered second to seventh, before understandably fading late. It was a run full of promise, especially given she’d been off since January.
She’s effective at 5f and 6f, handles fast ground, and should come on plenty for that reappearance. This sharper test looks ideal, and her trainer’s record with sprinters speaks for itself. Noble Vow and Truly Glamorous are dangers, but Miss Yechance has the speed, the mark, and the profile of one ready to take a step forward now fitter and back in calmer waters.
