We have an eclectic mix of daytime racing action happening today. A summer Jumps meeting at Fontwell, Flat racing on both sides or the of the Irish Sea, with meetings at Yarmouth, Limerick and Hamilton. Then in the evening itās time to head to the All Weather track at Kempton, which is where todayās selection will line up. With plenty looking in his favour, I think heās underestimated at 7/1.
Before we dive into the reasoning behind todayās betting tip, allow me to introduce myself. Iām RacingGav, the resident horse racing expert here at Betting.co.uk. That means Iām the one behind the free horse racing tips you (hopefully) read every day. But thatās not the full story. I also publish other forms of content such as big race trends, and educational guides, but most recently, horses and trainers to follow each month.
Something I didnāt mention above, is that I also enjoy sharing my antepost betting tips. In fact, Iāve recently put up an early selection for the 2027 Cheltenham Gold Cup, so be sure to check that out if you havenāt already seen it. The horse Iāve chosen is currently priced at 33/1, so it's worth getting on early!
The best horse racing odds of 7/1 for Uzinsco are widely available, most with the standard three places, but some like Betfred are offering four. But what makes Betfred really stand out is their sign up offer. If youĀ bet Ā£10 youāll get Ā£50 of free bets. Make sure you keep that offer in mind if you plan to back Uzinsco today!
Todayās selection, Uzincso, is an admirable veteran with eight wins recorded during his career. While he isnāt the horse he once was, he still puts up a good fight and certainly doesnāt act like a ten-year-old. I think he still has a few more wins in him before he retires, and his next one could well be tonight. Allow me to break down my reasoning.
Last time out, Uzincso ran at this course, but over a furlong further. I tipped him to my Discord members at a double-figure price and he finished fourth, so we picked up some place money.
Considering he was drawn right out in stall twelve, he made an early move to race on the pace and the 1m 4f trip stretched him. I thought he ran an almighty race, only giving way way late on, and beaten by just a length at the line. With a kinder (albeit not perfect) draw in stall eight, a shorter trip of 1m 3f, and a 1lb drop in the weights, he surely must go very close here.
A 1lb drop from the handicapper sees him racing off a mark of 59 today. If you look back through the form book, his latest win came over todayās C&D and off this exact same mark.
Thatās not his only strong C&D form either, as his overall form figures at Kempton read 2419. What is particularly interesting about his four runs here is that the first three races were all off similar marks to today, 58, 59, and 59. He won one of those, and was only beaten by a short head in another. His ninth place was off a higher mark of 63. Even in that race he was only beaten by just over five lengths, so he was far from being disgraced.
If we look closely at the 14 contenders declared to run here, there looks to be plenty of pace angles in this race. Imperial Cult is the obvious one to go forward, but Pershalla also likes to lead. Wood Whisperer often races prominently, as does Karakula. Uzincso himself is usually seen tucked in behind the leaders.
Between the first two competing for the lead, and the next three ensuring they are kept honest in front, this could be a real end to end gallop. Dropping back a furlong in trip, but having the stamina for further, the race should set up perfectly for Uzinsco.
If you look back to his C&D win in September, exactly this sort of scenario happened, where the leaders set a good gallop and he stalked them, before coming through with a strong finish to pass them. Hopefully we see a replay of that here!
Everything certainly looks to be in Uzincsoās favour tonight. He ran a fantastic race in defeat last time, with a couple of excuses in terms of the wide draw and the extra furlong. He now returns to the same distance as his latest win, and off the same mark too. As we can see from his form, that was no fluke performance as he consistently performs well over C&D off similar marks. The key will be the strong pace, but if he can jump out well and secure a position behind the leaders, they should tow him through the race and set him up for a big finish.
In terms of negatives, whilst stall eight isnāt as bad as 12 last time, itās still quite wide. The other negative is simply his age, heās not the horse he was at his peak, which is completely understandable at the age of 10. However, there is plenty of fight in him yet and heās handicapped to strike.
Considering the positives and the negatives, I think he looks a fantastic bet here at 7/1. However, given his slightly wide draw and his age, Iām trimming the stake down slightly to 0.75pt each way.
Whilst the £50 in free bets from Betfred is fantastic, why stop there? Here are five of the best betting offers for horse racing that are currently available from our other bookmaker partners! As you can see, there is fantastic value to be had!
