In today’s article, I take a look at the free betting tips I have provided during November 2025. I have looked at the good, the bad and the ugly for the month, and most importantly, how the figures add up for November alone, and since I started tipping here in March. All of my stats can be found in this article, and thankfully, it’s pleasant reading!
If you’re just encountering my content for the first time, my name is Gav, better known as RacingGav on X. I am the resident horse racing expert here at Betting.co.uk and I publish regular content on the site. My articles typically focus on daily betting tips, but I sometimes look ahead at the antepost markets too. Beyond those, I also publish informational pieces including big race trends, racing news, and guides on a range of subjects like Betting Fundamentals and the UK Handicap System, both of which are well worth checking out!
Betano has a fantastic offer for new horse racing customers. If you deposit and bet £10, you’ll get £30 of free bets + 50 free spins. This is great value, and well worth signing up for!.
I have good news to report for November 2025, as it was another profitable month for my free betting tips. In the remaining sections of today’s article, I’ll go through the full numbers with you, covering both November in isolation, and then the overall figures since I started here nine months ago.
It is always good to start a month off on a good note and I certainly managed that in November. Our opening bet of the month was Pep Talking at Wetherby. He was advised at 13/2 with a 0.75pt each way stake. He obliged under a fantastic ride from Gavin Sheehan, making the most of the fitness edge he had over his rivals, which was one of the reasons for backing him.
With William Hill generously offering 1/4 odds for the place terms, the overall returns from our 1.5pt stake came in at 7.594pts; a profit of 6.094pts. Ultimately it doesn’t matter if the first ten bets lose, provided you come out on top overall but it’s always nice to kick the month off with a winning bet.
Going into November, I had produced a profit in 5 out of 8 months without BOG and 6 out of 8 months including BOG. However, even in the losing months, the losses were pretty minimal, with no more than a 4.5pt loss recorded in any month to date. Of course, it was nice to get another profitable month on the board with November taking my record to 6/9 months without BOG, and 7/9 months with BOG included.
Seven bets into the month, it was looking very rosy with a double digit profit on the board. We had a poor run towards the end of the month, which saw a good chunk of our profits erode, but we had built up a strong enough pot to withstand that, and still come out on top. Frustratingly, we were one place away from a pair of 20/1 places, which would have had healthy returns, but it wasn’t to be.
At the end of November, we had achieved a 17.57% ROI without BOG and a 20.11% ROI including BOG. Since joining Betting.co.uk in March, I have recorded a 27.13% ROI without BOG and that increases to 32.00% with BOG included. I’m delighted with those results and now we have nine months worth of data to back it up, it shows it’s no fluke.
In the grand scheme of things, a 3-4pt profit over a month doesn’t feel like a huge amount, but it’s worth remembering that I’m only betting around 19pts per month on average. When you look at it in that context, I’d happily tick along with that figure! Of course, we will sometimes have bumper months like August, which made a +30pt profit!
Here are my overall results for November only:
| Excluding Best Odds Guaranteed | Including Best Odds Guaranteed | |
| Staked | 17.75pts | 17.75pts |
| Returned | 20.869pts | 21.319pts |
| Profit/Loss | 3.119pts | 3.569pts |
| ROI | 17.57% | 20.11% |
And here is the full breakdown covering March to November:
| Excluding Best Odds Guaranteed | Including Best Odds Guaranteed | |
| Staked | 171.75pts | 171.75pts |
| Returned | 218.351pts | 226.711pts |
| Profit/Loss | 46.601pts | 54.961pts |
| ROI | 27.13% | 32.00% |
We narrowly missed out on a few at the end of the month. We had two 1pt each way bets: Parlando and Hyland. The former was denied a clear run, and finished fifth with four places paid. The latter was hampered twice, and finished seventh with six places paid. With both having a little more luck in running, they would both have hit the frame, meaning an extra 7.2pts on the bottom line at the end of November.
We also hit the woodwork with a couple of second places. Our second and third bets of the month were Elwateen and Vincenzo who were advised at 5/1 and 6/1. Unfortunately both bumped into one in their races, and finished second. It was a particularly sore subject with Vincenzo, who had been backed in from 6/1 to 100/30 favourite for the Paddy Power Gold Cup. He bumped into Panic Attack for Dan Skelton that day, and the fact she went on to win the Coral Gold Cup shows just how well handicapped she was that day.
