So, there is a whole new week of racing ahead of us and we have the Chester Cup three-day meeting to get stuck into.
Today, I have two fantastic selections from Day 1 of this spectacular racing event and I promise there will be more to follow for the next two days as well! For today, my best bookie choice is Betfred, due to the fantastic odds AND extra places they have going for Chester.
If you want to get selections faster, then be sure to join my Discord channel (it’s entirely FREE by the way) then you’ll also get the benefit of Joe from JM Racing sharing his own tips and also insights from our resident stats man Tony, who also posts his own ‘Tony’s Trends’ for all of the big races at the weekend.
Not only will I be back to highlight some potential winners on Day 2 and Day 3 of the Chester Cup meeting, on Friday this week, I’ll be back with Joe McCabe.
As usual, we’ll be giving away a racehorse share and two £10 FREE bets in our regular weekend preview slot, but you must be a subscriber to my YouTube channel – in it to win it, as they say! So please don’t forget to hit that Subscribe button!
NAVELLO - 2.05 Chester @ 7/1 (extra place at Betfred )
This is a really fascinating contest and I think it may be worth siding with the course and distance winner in the field on this occasion. He has some solid credentials for this race and has a very nice jockey booked to ride, namely William Buick, which is always a positive. He has run well at Chester before and I think he can come in late-on and take on the Favourite with a late lunge at victory.
This needs to be a small stake selection, as it’s very easy to make a case for many of the runners in this race, but I have to give one the edge and that for me will be Navello.
POCKET THE PROFIT - 3.40 Chester @ 9/2 (best odds at Betfred)
This horse has been a revelation and is improving with every run to date. I think he can take a big step forward with the good ground anticipated and when I also consider that the Favourite has a huge weight to carry, this progressive gelding may just be the answer.
I will side with him at 9/2 and it’s clear that Pocket The Profit is currently receiving some strong market support, so be quick if you fancy that one.
