It’s Saturday, and that means it’s time for another Lucky 15. Today I’m covering the ITV Racing action at Warwick, Kempton and Fairyhouse! We have some big field races this weekend, so there’s plenty of value out there, and I think I’ve found four horses with plenty of potential, and odds they are likely to outrun! If all four of them can get into the places, we would have a healthy return, but they are all capable of causing an upset too!
If you’re just discovering my content for the first time, I’m RacingGav and I’m the resident horse racing tipster for Betting.co.uk. I publish several articles each week here, which are mostly free horse racing tips, but I also cover other aspects of racing like big race trends and educational guides.
Although the majority of my tips are for races on the same day, I check out the antepost betting markets too. So if you like antepost betting, be sure to check out some of my existing selections for the year ahead. For the 2026 Cheltenham Festival, I already have selections for the Pertemps Network Final and a double for the Champion Hurdle and Mares’ Hurdle!
At the time of writing, bet365 has the best horse racing odds for our Lucky 15. They are not the only bookmaker to come up with an overall price of 16,574/1, but their place terms are far superior. bet365 is paying four, four, three and five places respectively, whereas the next best is showing three, three, three and four places. As if it’s not good enough already, new customers who sign up, deposit and
bet £10, get £30 of free bets. Awesome value all round!
With an each way Lucky 15 bet, when all the multiples come into play, four horses placing can be enough to generate a healthy return. Of course, if they all win, it’s a huge bonus, but let’s walk before we run. I feel all four of these horses have a fantastic chance of hitting the places and that is the key here. That said, I wouldn’t be shocked if any of them caused an upset either. In the following sections, I’ll show you exactly why I picked them today.
The opening leg of our Lucky 15 comes at Warwick in the 2m 4f Handicap Chase, and my choice here is Pepe Le Moko, who runs for Jane Williams. Back in January 2024, he was an emphatic 14-length winner at Kempton, off a mark of 119. But he paid the price for that with a 9lb rise, and subsequently struggled to compete in Handicap company off his new mark, which was understandable. He was winless throughout his 2024/25 campaign, and he also lost his first two races this season, but that has left him sitting pretty on a mark of 111.
For that reason, he was able to sneak into a 0-110 Handicap at Ludlow last month. In my opinion, he looked the winner before he pecked badly on landing four out. He managed to regain his momentum, and even pressed the eventual winner, but he was hampered by him on the run-in. With a clear run down the home straight, he would have won, and his form has since been franked by the winner, Followcato, who won again yesterday off a 2lb higher mark. Both Pepe Le Moko and Followcato drew clear in that race, and I believe they are both better than 0-110 Handicap level. Raised just 1lb from 111 to 112, Pepe Le Moko can run in 0-110 company again, but this time, I think he’ll come out on top.
We’re heading to Fairyhouse over in Ireland for our second Lucky 15 race, which is the 2m 1f Dan & Joan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase. Gavin Cromwell absolutely dominated this race last year, taking the 1-2-3 with The King Of Prs, Path D’Oroux and Midnight It Is. He sends all three back again this year, accompanied by The Other Mozzie from the same stable.
The Other Mozzie will run off a high mark, while both Path D’Oroux and Midnight It Is are quite unreliable types. So despite being on a 4lb higher mark than last year, I think The King Of Prs won convincingly enough last time to suggest that he is the Gavin Cromwell horse to follow here. I also find it interesting that talented 5lb Claimer, Eoin Staples, has been booked to ride him. Eoin has an 18% strike rate for Gavin this season, with 47% of his rides for the yard finishing in the first four. If you had backed every ride to £1 level stakes, you’d be sitting on a profit of +£36.38. I think Eoin can add to his fine record here aboard The King Of Prs!
For the third leg of our Lucky 15 we’re back at Warwick, for the Classic Handicap Chase over 3m 5f. I’ve opted for Nassalam here, who runs for the Gary & Josh Moore stable. I fancied Nassalam to win the Welsh Grand National last month, but sadly the heavy rain that was forecast never materialised, and he was pulled out of the race due to the fast ground.
With this race being over a similar distance, and with the ground looking like it’ll be testing at Warwick, this could be a great replacement race for him. Ideally the softer the better, and with 28mm of rain and snow falling on Thursday night and Friday morning, there should be plenty of juice. I’m sure Nassalam’s connections were gutted when the weather went against them at Chepstow. but this £100,000 handicap could be a lovely consolation!
Our fourth and final horse runs in arguably the most competitive race of the day, the £100,000 Lanzorate Handicap Hurdle at Kempton. I have landed on the mare,
Just A Rose for the Paul Nicholls stable. Freddie Gingell is booked to ride but with Captain Teague now a non-runner, I believe Harry Cobden might switch across. His lowest riding weight in the last 12 months is 10st 2lb and Just A Rose is allocated to carry 1lb more than that.
Just A Rose won her Point-to-Point and was subsequently sold to Tom Malone/Paul Nicholls for £175,000. She bolted in by 26 lengths in a Maiden Hurdle at Taunton on her stable debut and created a really strong impression. So much so that they chucked her straight into the Grade 2 Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham on just her second start under rules. That came too quickly and she jumped poorly under the immense pressure. Following that run she had wind surgery over the summer and between that and the 273 day break, I’m sure she would have needed her reappearance run. Dropped 1lb for first run back, she’s down to 121, I believe she could be very generously treated. Going into the Cheltenham Festival, Paul Nicholls didn’t feel there was much between her and Jubilee Alpha ability wise and that mare is now rated 139!
I think Pepe Le Moko, The King Of Prs and Just A Rose have a great chance of outperforming their odds. Nassalam is a riskier selection given how he’s been performing since his 2023 Welsh Grand National win but at the same time, he’s extremely well handicapped now and I think he has had some excuses. I’m happy enough to throw him in the mix and if the old Nassalam could return, we will be in for a fun Saturday!
On the terms quoted, the three shortest priced runners alone placing would see us nearly double our outlay on the bet and if all four could hit the frame, we would see a near 10x return on our stake. As is always the case with these multiples, there is a small chance, but still a chance that we could land a gigantic win. If nothing else though, this bet should be good fun and provide you with plenty of entertainment this afternoon!
Below you will find five of our recommended bookmakers and the fantastic free bet offers for horse racing they currently have available. There is plenty of value to be had by using these deals, so make sure you take a look ahead of this weekend’s great racing!
