It’s Saturday, and it’s time for another Lucky 15! This one is a special one though, because all of the ITV Racing coverage is focused on the final day of Royal Ascot 2026!
For those not familiar, most of my articles are
free horse racing tips, either daily bets, or antepost picks. However, on Saturday’s I also put up an each way Lucky 15 to bring a bit of fun to your day.

All four horses bring value!
When I select the horses for our Lucky 15s, I mainly look for value, and with today’s selections, I think I’ve found it. I don’t want horses that win at a short price, I want horses who will outrun their odds. Whilst it’s not as sexy, places at big prices often return more than short-priced winners. Anyway, let’s get into the horses and why I’ve picked them!
Giavellotto @ 9/1 - This race should be perfect for him!
Giavellotto’s must be pulling their hair out by now. His last three races were all run at a steady gallop, which hasn’t suited his style at all. Despite that, he still ran very solidly in defeat. Then there was the Arc de Triomphe, where the going was unsuitably soft.
However, he should get his ideal conditions today. There should be a strong pace and the going is Good to Firm. It’s also a big bonus to have Oisin Murphy back in the saddle. Oisin has recorded three wins and two places from his five rides on Giavellotto, and the pair toppled today’s favourite, Kalpana, at Kempton!
Amiloc and Lambourn both enjoy making the running, and a few others like Sons And Lovers, Santorini Star, Phantom Flight, and West Wind Blows are rarely far away. We should get a really strong gallop here which will suit Giavellotto with his hold up style. The only other minor threat isJan Brueghel, but he has a quick turnaround to overcome, and Giavellotto has already beaten the rest previously.
Flora Of Bermuda @ 18/1 - Third in this race last year, she can go two better today!

my main betting tip
today, and I think she is highly underrated at 18/1. She was third in this race last year, with valid excuses for not finishing closer. She also comes here in winning form, which will have done her confidence the world of good.
Likewise, she should improve physically for that last run given it was her first after a 196-day break. Wathnan’s number one jockey, James Doyle takes the ride, and he rode the winner last year. That’s not the only time he has won this race either, he also won it in 2019 with Blue Point and in 2022 with Naval Crown.
Apollo One @ 25/1 - This C&D winner is handicapped to strike!
Apollo One is certainly an interesting runner, as today will be the fourth time that he’s competed in this race. His form figures in the race are 827. In 2022, when he placed eighth, he was only beaten by 5 lengths, and for his seventh place last year it was just three and a half lengths.
His RPRs over C&D are 92, 106, 114, 108 and 111, with the RPR of 114 being his C&D win. Based on those figures we know what he can produce, so he is definitely of interest here off a mark of just 97.
Jockey Christophe Soumillon has been booked to ride. He has only ridden Apollo One once before, and he finished a nose second in the 2024 Portland. He was just denied by American Affair that day, who was racing off 92 and the latter is now a Group 1 winner rated 111 (peaked at 113), so that form has worked out well! Hopefully Christophe can coax another big performance out of Apollo One, especially with a lovely draw in stall 31.
I find it odd that Spyce is 16/1, yet Lost Boys is 9/2 favourite. The pair of them recently ran in the London Gold Cup at Newbury. On that occasion, Lost Boys won and Spyce finished fourth. However, Spyce raced a little too keenly, and he was also short of room from 1f out.
What I find most interesting is that Lost Boys was raised 7lb from 89 to 96 for his win. However, Spyce ran off a mark of 100 in the London Gold Cup, and the handicapper has left his mark unchanged. For a three and a half length defeat, with excuses, Spyce now has a 7lb pull at the weights, which could easily see the form reversed.
Spyce is trained by Alan King who has already won at the Royal Ascot meeting with Daiquiri Bay and went close with Barnso too. In the last week, he has also produced winners at Sandown, Worcester and Market Rasen, so he clearly has his horses in great form! At odds of 16/1, I think he’s been overlooked in the market. Although the one concern I do have is the lower draw over this trip, as if you’re slowly away, it can become a real problem.
Can we produce a profit with this Royal Ascot 2026 Lucky 15?
In 2026 to date, the Lucky 15s have performed very strongly, with many profitable bets and a few close calls in terms of landing a big one! Hopefully that form will continue here and what a day it would be to land a full house! With selections at odds of 9/1, 18/1, 25/1 and 16/1, even just four places would return ÂŁ386.80 off a ÂŁ15.00 (50p each way) stake.
Obviously the dream would be to land a full house of winners which on this occasion would return in excess of £50,000! It’s not easy to find one winner at Royal Ascot, never mind four on one day, so we do need to be realistic! However, if you don't try, you’ll never succeed, so we’re having a go! The way I’d view it is that if they can all place, I’ll be a happy man and anything further than that, is a bonus.
