It’s Saturday! That means that the Lucky 15 article makes a return as I cover the ITV Racing action at Sandown and Aintree. As with each Lucky 15 to date, I have again opted for the each way variation as I have looked to find value at tasty prices. I think all four of these selections have a fantastic each way chance and hopefully that is proved to be the case.
If you’re just discovering my content here for the first time, I’m RacingGav and I’m the resident horse racing tipster for Betting.co.uk. I produce several articles here per week and I also run my own Discord server (details at the bottom of this article). While most are horse racing tips, either for the day or antepost, I also cover others aspects such as big race trends, educational guides and much more!
Whether you are a casual Saturday punter, or an avid fan of the sport, be sure to check out my educational guides, which could to take your betting to the next level. As a couple of examples, I have one on Different Types of Horse Racing Headgear and another that explains the UK Handicap System.
As is often the case, bet365 has come up trumps with the best horse racing odds for today's Lucky 15 bet. At the time of writing, bet365 are offering the best combined odds for our Lucky 15 at 3,747/1. As well as the best odds, they are also offering three places on the 15:35 Sandown. Finally, they have a great sign up offer for new customers. If you bet £10, you’ll get £30 in free bets. Superb value on every level here!
With the way a Lucky 15 bet is structured, the more horses you can get hitting the frame, the better. Of course, it goes without saying that winners are very welcome as well, but you’ll usually find that four places can actually return more than two places and a winner as an example. This is due to the fact that the four fold would also come into play and also one winner in isolation only brings the single win into play. I really do believe that all four runners have a fantastic chance of finishing in the places, so let’s take a closer look at them here.
Olly Murphy’s nine-year-old gelding - Go Dante is two from two at Sandown. Even more impressively, both of his wins have come in the very competitive and valuable Imperial Cup. The first win came in March 2024 off a mark of 129 and the latter win came in March 2025 off a mark of 127.
The latter really impressed me given the ground was only Good to Soft and I have no doubt that he would have preferred the conditions more testing. That’s why I think he is very interesting here with much more testing conditions and a mark of 130, which is barely higher than his two Imperial Cup wins over this C&D. With a recent run under his belt, he looks to have a fantastic each way chance and I’d not be shocked at all if he went three from three to maintain his 100% record here.
The £150,000 Becher Chase over the Grand National fences has attracted a competitive thirteen runner field. However, one that stands out to me is Galia Des Liteuax. I simply cannot see past the fact that she was 8th in the 2024 running of the Aintree Grand National off a 12lb higher mark of 146. Not only that, she actually led the field and looked fantastic from four out to two out but then she ran out of steam.
I thought her latest run at Carlisle was a pleasing enough reappearance and that should have her spot on for this very valuable race. The stable reports her to be in the best form at home that they’ve had her in since the Grand National, she’ll love the likely testing conditions and she’ll be much happier going back left handed. With the vastly reduced mark of 134, she has only been allocated 10st 10lb but that is reduced a further 3lb by Tristan Durrell’s claim. If she ran in this last year, she would have been rated 145 and subsequently shouldering 11st 7lb.
The 2m 4f Handicap Hurdle at Aintree is an intriguing race where you can make a case for and against most of the runners. I personally couldn’t be backing a Jonjo & AJ O’Neill horse at the minute, I’m not sure Bear Market has the class for a race of this nature and I’m pretty certain Act Of Authority is a Pertemps plot job. Therefore, on that basis, I can rule out the top three in the market.
After his win at Chepstow, Rambo T has to be respected but he’s up in the weights and the handicapper might have him now. Therefore, the one I have landed on is Rubber Ball. His reappearance run in the Greatwood was too bad to be true, so I’d ignore that. His novice form beating Tutti Quanti (now rated 138) off level weights reads extremely well and the fact they let him take his chance in the Grade 1 at Aintree says plenty. He could be a different horse today to the one we saw at Cheltenham…
Longer term followers of mine will know I’m a big fan of Invincible Nao and I have won tipping him previously. Despite that, I wouldn’t have given him a hope in hell’s chance last time out when he raced over an inadequate trip of 2m 4f and on unfavourable Good ground. However, despite that, he managed to come out on top in the three runner affair.
He’s only been raised 2lb for that, which judged on the bare form is probably fair. However, considering those conditions wouldn’t have suited him, I think the run can be marked up significantly. With this huge step up in trip from 2m 4f to 3m 4.5f and the softer ground both expected to me more to his liking, I think he has the scope to improve again and defy his new mark. I also find it very interesting that the stable seems to have targeted this meeting with three winners from four runners on the opening day yesterday.
I think Go Dante and Invincible Nao look rock solid and represent lovely each way value at their prices, ideal types for an each way Lucky 15 like this. Rubber Ball is the risky one judged on how badly he performed on his reappearance but I would draw a line through that. If he rediscovers his novice form now with a run under his belt, he could run a huge race. The one I’m very sweet on is Galia Des Liteaux, she is very well handicapped and I would not be surprised if this £150,000 pot has been a long term plan for her by Dan Skelton.
I think we have a great chance of having all four hit the frame but with a bit of luck, I can easily see us having some winners here too. At the advised prices, even just three places would see our each way Lucky 15 return a profit and after that, the more the merrier in terms of places and wins!
