Nick Smith, Ashley Hughes, and Jordan Sims have taken to the studio to discuss a range of sporting topics - all aided by the eponymous three pints of their chosen beverage. Friends since attending university together in Leeds, the trio cast their eye over a range of topics across the course of six episodes in the inaugural season.
Each episode focuses on a specific sporting topic; though you won’t find the usual basic sports podcast fare here. Sure, football is covered, but so is NFL, darts, snooker, fishing, and finally, everything else - so there’s sure to be something to interest everyone. Never taking the topic at hand too seriously, each episode nevertheless delves into its chosen subject and leans into a discussion reminiscent of classic Friday night pub chats.
In addition to discussions of the topic at hand, every episode contains returning favourites such as “Desert Island Crisps” - a far more essential discussion than what music one would listen to if stranded - a pub quiz where the hosts knowledge is truly put to the test, and a deep dive into the world of YouTube sporting clips. Accompanying the key topic, these regular segments help to enhance the sense of familiarity listeners will begin
Serving as the perfect lighthearted break from reality, The Three Pints Podcast is the ideal way to spend an evening indulging a love of all things sports, toasting Bacchus, and making the most of the kind of conversation that will be immediately familiar to any regular pub-goer.
By the way, if this podcast isn't successful Ashley will get the sack - so please, please share.
