The LCS Summer is the crucible that every NA team who wants to go to Worlds must pass through. It’s among the most crucial League of Legends tournaments in America, especially since it’s what determines which teams will fly the flag on the international stage.
If you’ve been wanting to bet on LoL, there can’t be a more perfect time than today. The LCS Summer 2022 will begin on the 18th of June, where a total of 10 NA teams will be competing. Set your bet slip in order today so you won’t have to when it’s already too late!

Until recently, Evil Geniuses (EG) had only been lurking in the shadows of greater teams, such as Team SoloMid (TSM), Cloud9, and Team Liquid. A quick look at their history and you’ll see that before their new roster got assembled post-Worlds last year, they could only finish 5-6th tops in seasonal events, which isn’t enough to send a team to the prestigious World Championships. Yes, they weren’t downright terrible, but they also lacked firepower.
Today, however, the tables have turned. EG is hot and in vogue. In the past couple of months, they’ve beaten all the other NA teams in a dominating fashion. Their onslaught began at the LCS Lock-In 2022, where they 3-0ed Cloud9, which is one of the most established NA teams in the league. They couldn’t surpass Team Liquid at the Finals then, but in the LCS Spring 2022 Playoffs, their newfound strength would be revealed. In this tournament, EG would go on a slaughter mission, 3-0ing Cloud9 and Team Liquid in the lower bracket and 3-0ing 100 Thieves in the finals! For the first time, it was EG who went to the MSI 2022 to compete against the Chinese and Korean teams. They didn’t win, but that has to count for something.
Next to EG, 100 Thieves can also go on a tear. We haven’t seen them play a ton of matches so far, which could mean they’re saving something explosive for last. We’re just not going to analyse them as they probably won’t force highly profitable odds out of the bookies when facing the underdogs. Not as profitable as EG, at least.

If you’re planning to just bet on matches and don’t care which teams will be seeded, then Immortals is your choice. While this team has the lowest chances of making it to the Top 3, they’re sometimes capable of one-upping even the elites. For example, in the LCS Spring 2022, one of the most recent League of Legends events, they managed to pull a win against EG (1-0), 100 Thieves (1-0), and Counter Logic Gaming (1-0). Okay, they got destroyed most of the time in this event, but their mediocre performance for the past months could actually benefit you.
Immortals have recently built up a new roster that bookies might overlook. We don’t know if this roster change is for the better or worse, but we know that the variable change is there. Against teams like EG and TSM, even C9 Dignitas, the bookies will probably offer something generous for this team to win. We’re predicting a 1:3.50 return or even higher.
This is all a sweet deal for underdog bettors who aren’t expecting the team to win a series but instead hoping for one stroke of brilliance that will bring them money. If this sounds like you, make sure to check out the best betting offers in the Bet365 Esports review on our site so you can make the deal even sweeter!
Betting on the safe side will probably work if you’re aiming for teams like EG, 100 Thieves, and TSM to win a series, but the chances are that odds there will only be at 2.00 or even less. You can only expect a higher return once your team is at a disadvantage, which is always a gamble that must be accepted with care.
If you’re a more daring type of punter, Immortals and the other underdogs (including Dignitas, CLG, and Golden Guardians) can present some decent chances when facing the big guys. Just make sure not to put your eggs into a single basket because that will be a huge and costly mistake. So please bet on LoL responsibly and with care!
