South Africa vs Australia - 3rd ODI - Wednesday, September 30 12:20 BST
South Africa will be looking to complete a series whitewash over Australia on Wednesday ahead of their Three Test Series next month. The Proteas made it 2-0 in the ODI series thanks to a 32-run victory. The hosts batted first and 142 from 93 balls from David Miller and 103 off 116 deliveries from skipper Temba Bavuma helped them to a very competitive 365/9. Australia would need to almost perfect to chase those runs down, but despite 84 runs each from Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head, as well as 50 from Xavier Bartlett, the Aussies fell short as they were bowled out for 333 in Johannesburg. It is not in South Africa's nature to take the foot off the gas - especially against Australia. I am backing them to go all out to secure a 3-0 drubbing to put doubt into some of the players mind of those having to back up in the Test matches. David Miller leads the way as the leading runs scorer with 151 from two matches - granted 142 came in one match, but it is a good effort. I am not backing Miller to top score in the third game, because I am unsure if he will bat. I am backing South Africa to be dominant all over the pitch for the loss of only a few wickets. Matthew Breetzke is expected to come in at number four and I am backing him to add to his 146 already with a big score. For Australia, Marsh is a joy to watch. He can smash boundaries for fun or he can play a patient evenings while keeping the runs coming. I am backing them both to top score for South Africa and Australia respectively with the hosts winning once again.
