We have a fantastic DP World Tour event this week, with the KLM Open set to take place at the International Golf Club in the Netherlands. I have already posted my main KLM Open betting tips, but as a new addition, I will be bringing you some massive priced longshots every week too.
Last week, I put up Matthieu Pavon for the US Open and he managed to finish inside the top five at 400/1. I will be looking to follow suit this week, with some very promising longshots. When picking your players for this event, it’s absolutely vital that they are accurate with their irons. The players will face a lot of mid-range iron shots this week into elevated greens, and those that can control their trajectory well, could take advantage of these Par 4s. The International is a course that demands accuracy and I have found a couple of players that excel in that area, so hopefully we will find ourselves some place money again at huge prices.

My first longshot for the KLM Open is Francesco Laporta. I’ve been following him for a long time now, and I feel like I know his game quite well at this point. He is yet to win on the DP World Tour, but he is definitely capable of doing so and I think this is a course that he can excel at if he brings his best game. I have mentioned in my main betting tips article that players with form from the Soudal Open and the ISPS Handa Championship should be well-suited to this course, and Francesco played really well in both events.
The best part of his game is definitely his irons, and they will be in high demand this week at the International Golf Club, so this could be an outstanding opportunity for Francesco Laporta this week.
He can hit his irons with a high ball flight, but he also has a very good controlled half shot in his game and on paper he is exceptionally well-suited to this course. At a huge price, I give him a big each way shout this week.
Another player that could be way overpriced this week is Pedro Figueiredo. He is a similar type of player to Franceso Laporta, in the sense that he is really good with his irons on his day and he excelled in the Soudal Open, with a Top 25 finish. I know I keep mentioning that form, but it really is the only other course on the DP World Tour that bears any similarity to the International Golf Course and he seemed to thrive there.
Pedro has some really low scores on his resume and I liked what I saw of this lad at the Soudal Open. Specifically, a very high ball flight, which means he can really attack a fair few of these pins and I think he could well surprise a few this week. He has played most of his golf on the Challenge Tour, but he has also had some good results on the DP World Tour and he clearly has the game to compete at top level. I think it will only take one good result to really help his career kick on and he is another player that should be able to take advantage of this accuracy styled course at a whopping price.
