Betting odds for the Celebrity Traitors show are only available until the first television show is aired. As soon as the show is broadcast, any betting odds are removed.
The reason for this is that the Celebrity Traitors show is pre-recorded and not shown live. This means it would not be ethical to have live betting odds if some people already know the outcome.
It would be very easy for that information to be leaked and that would manipulate the betting market. The safest way to stop that is to halt all betting markets as soon as the show is not live.
When it comes to novelty betting and television shows, some of them will have betting odds running from the start of the show until the end. Strictly Come Dancing is live every single week, so betting on Strictly Come Dancing is available all the time.
The same goes for Big Brother although that is not live all the time. You can still bet on Big Brother leading up to the announcement of the winner.
You can find some great novelty betting markets available at Betway who also have a fantastic casino welcome offer where you can get 150 free spins when you stake £10.
It is still early days in the show, but, as always, the Traitors are the favourites. Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns, in particular, have shown all of the signs of a good traitor.
Alan Carr has been the star of the show so far, but it’s tough to know how to judge him. On the one hand, his personality and sense of humour could lead people to dismiss his very obvious mistakes as him trying to make everyone laugh. On the other hand, they are very obvious mistakes, and it is hard to imagine he will avoid suspicion for the entire series. He is the Traitor to avoid.
Picking out a good faithful is a more challenging task. The key is going to be staying out of the traitor’s line of fire. From what we’ve seen, the Celebrities are more aggressive in their approach, which means we could have some fiery roundtables to come.
Clare Balding, Tom Daley, and Stephen Fry have all shown that they are going to be formidable players, but there is every chance that this comes back to bite them as the series goes on.
Mark Bonner, David Olusoga, and Joe Wilkinson are the types who build enough social capital to slip through and have not shown the kind of aggressive approach that can lead to the Traitors wanting to kill them.
Of course, the show will have plenty of twists in the coming weeks, making it difficult to guess which faithful will make it through, especially because they could get recruited. The traitora are more likely to win, given the control they have over the game.
Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 pm. The show began on Wednesday, October 8th and will wrap up on Friday, October 31st.
