It’s been another good week for my selections. I had another two winners yesterday at Worcester, who landed the spoils at 9/2 and 3/1, and I’m hoping we can add a few more to the tally as we head into the weekend’s action.
I've selected three winning picks for the Jumps meeting at Aintree tonight, which are advised as singles only and I hope that we're on course to beat the bookies again.
I'll be back later this evening to bring you all of my best bets for tomorrow's fantastic racing action, so don't forget to check back in for those.
To end the week, I have a great offer from Kwiff. If you bet £10, you’ll get a £20 free surprise bet upon settlement of your first £10 bet. Nothing better than free bets, especially if we can turn them into a profit. Try it out and let me know how you get on!
Although this isn’t the most competitive race, there are a few in here with some decent form in the book. Kieran Burke runs Charlie My Boy in the opener here, the first of his two Aintree entries. This one has had some really strong support in the market and is fighting it out for favouritism. He has done very well in his two starts since having a wind operation and could progress again off a low weight.
However, I think Copper Beach is the one that will take some beating here, despite a 7lb penalty for winning so well last time out at Uttoxeter. Although it was only a small field, the opposition was decent and he won in really good style. Conor Rabbit takes 3lb off his weight, which will further enhance his chances and a repeat performance of his last run should be good enough to get the job done.
His Uttoxeter run was his first attempt at this trip, so he remains pretty unexposed and could improve plenty again. Clapton Hill, who runs for Ben Pauling, is another likely improver, but like Charlie My Boy, he has to be taken on trust. Conversely, Copper Beach has already proven himself very capable at this point and I think he’s ready to take another step forward tonight.
The favourite here is Lermoos Legend, which is not too surprising as he is back to a decent mark for this race, but he has been known to blow some opportunities, making him much too risky at such a short price.
The one I particularly like here is Donald McCain’s runner, Blueberry Wine. He is an excellent jumper, who has four Chase wins to his name already and I really like the way he travels. He hasn’t run at Aintree before, but he has plenty of ability and he will really like these faster conditions.
Another huge plus point is that he has champion jockey Brian Hughes on board for this race and despite a 5lb rise in weight, he should give a really good account of himself here.
I’m hoping by this point we’re already celebrating a winner or two, so I’m sticking my neck out a little for my final bet of the day, which is Nora The Xplorer. In all fairness, she has been hard to win with, but she is a decent mover and ran quite an eye-catching race last time out at Huntingdon, where the fast ground seemed to benefit her greatly.
Born Famous is the main danger in my eyes. She’s likely to go off favourite, having already achieved two out of two for Ian Jardine and is likely to be trying her very best for the hat trick. But, that said, I genuinely think Nora The Xplorer is ready to get back in the winners enclosure.
She stays all day long, the ground is no issue for her, and she is a particularly sound jumper. Despite the fact that there are a few in here with chances, her 6/1 price tag has tempted me in and hopefully we can finish the evening with another winner.
My latest offer from Kwiff is a great deal, but if you already have an account there, then feel free to browse all of the other great bookie offers right here at Betting.co.uk.
Thank you all for tuning in again. Just the three selections for today, but I will be back this evening with a full list of my best bets for Saturday.
