Just eight teams remain in the Challenge Cup with four quarter-finals tie taking place this weekend.
Cup holders Hull Kingston Rovers remain in the competition and they take on Super League new boys York Knights. These two have already met this season, with York winning on the opening day of the season. Things have changed since and I cannot see the Knights getting the double over the Robins.
St Helens have won the Challenge Cup 13 times and they go up against one-time winners Catalans Dragons. St Helens produced an amazing comeback in Super League last weekend when they came back from 24-10 with 10 minutes remaining to beat rivals Wigan Warriors 34-24. I cannot see the Saints backing up after that effort on Good Friday, so I am backing the Dragons to cause a bit of an upset.
Warrington and Leigh face off for the second week in succession with a place in the semi finals up for grabs. The Wolves meant business as they ran out convincing 42-6 winners, and I am expecting a similar outcome on Saturday.
The quarter-finals come to a close on Sunday in what should be the tie of the round. Wigan are seen as the Cup Kings with 21 final wins. However, they have lost their last two matches and look off the pace. Wakefield are motoring along quite nicely as they sit in fourth place. I am expecting a big response from the Warriors and I am backing them to win a close one.

There is still a buzz around the town of St Helens after their amazing fightback in the Good Friday Derby versus Wigan Warriors. The Saints trailed by 14 points heading into the final 10 minutes, and they managed to come back and win the game by 10 points thanks to two tries from on loan player Bill Leyland, and one each from Jackson Hastings and Tristan Sailor. It's not like me to be backing Saints to lose (honestly), but I feel last weekend's exploits will have taken too much out of them. They do have some good injury news with Alex Walmsley, George Delaney and Jonny Lomax both included in the squad. they have lost Shane Wright to a HIA. Loan players Leyland and Jordan Dezaria have returned to their parent club Hull KR. The Dragons welcome back Ben Garcia back to the squad with Josh Allen dropping out. The French team have plenty of match winners in their squad, including Toby Sexton, Charlie Staines and former St Helens duo Tommy Makinson and Lewis Dodd. There is something telling me that Dodd is going to go back to his old club and play a blinder. I am backing him for the first try and the Dragons to win by 1-12 points.

These two met in the opening game of the 2026 Super League season. The Knights shocked the defending champions with a stunning 19-18 win thanks to a late Ata Hingano drop goal with three minutes remaining. Unfortunately for the Knights, I cannot see them producing a famous double. The Robins are slowly hitting the form that saw win everything on offer domestically last season. The champions have won their last two matches against Hull FC and St Helens and are starting to gel once again. They have already lost three matches this season, and seeing as they only lost five all last season, they know how important it is to keep winning. Dezaria and Leyland - who were on loan at St Helens last week - are back in the Rovers squad with Rhyse Martin also returning. Captain Elliot Minchella is out with a hamstring problem. York coach Mark Applegarth has only named a 19-man squad for the trip to Hull KR. Ben Jones-Bishop is out with a broken foot, Will Dagger is out with concussion and both David Nofoaluma and Will Roberts are cup tied. All four will be big misses, and I cannot see the Knights troubling the Robins with so many star players out. I think this will be a walkover for Hull KR - I hope I am wrong for both York and the reputation of the Challenge Cup, but they are definitely up against it. I am going with the Robins to win by over 13 points, while I am backing Mikey Lewis and Joe Burgess to both score two or more tries.

Warrington hammered the Leopards 42-6 in Super League last weekend, and I am afraid Leigh will be on the end of a similar scoreline on Saturday. After last weekend's win, Wolves coach Sam Burgess said he thinks this game will be a lot tougher. I respectfully disagree. Leigh are down on troops, but Warrington are in fine form this season. Away fans always joke about it being Warrington's year every year, but it might just be in 2026. The Wolves welcome back star full-back Cai Taylor-Wray after a few weeks out with a hamstring injury. Kelepi Tanginoa is also in contention to return. Leigh are still without the likes of Edwin Ipape, David Armstrong, Bailey Hodgson and Jack Hughes, while the halfback pairing between Lachlan Lam and Adam Cook has yet to gel. I cannot see Leigh troubling Warrington at all. I am backing Matty Ashton, Taylor-Wray and George Williams all to score tries in a convincing 13+ points win for the Wolves.

This has the potential to be the best tie of the round. Wakefield Trinity are high on confidence as they sit in fourth place on the league ladder, while Wigan are coming into this game on the back of two successive defeats. Wigan are seen as the Cup Kings, but they are not playing like them at the minute. They led 24-10 against St Helens last weekend before going on to lose 34-24, so they will feel they have a point to prove. Trinity are no mugs, they always seem to play well when they host the Warriors. This could be close, and I would not be surprised if it went to Golden Point Extra Time. Jai Field returned from injury last Friday and is expected to start again, while all eyes will be on Matt Peet and his bench after they ended the St Helens match without using two of their four substitutes. Trinity will be without Caius Faatili who is struggling with an injury, although Jayden Myers has been drafted back into the squad. Wigan need a response. They do not necessarily need to win by 40 points, they just need to win the game. Wigan have not lost to Wakefield in the Challenge Cup since 1972, so I am backing Wigan to keep that run going. I am backing them to win by 6-10 points. When it comes to try scorers, I expect Tom Johnstone to score for Wakey, while I am backing both Field and Zach Eckersley to score for the Warriors.

QuinnBet love their rugby league and they have introduced some impressive price boosts for this weekend's Challenge Cup quarter-finals. It is important to note that QuinnBet and I do not seem to see eye to eye on our predictions, but that doesn't matter. You can make your own mind up on who you agree with.

Sky Sports is the main broadcaster for Super League and they promise to show every single game live each week. They will broadcast a main game on their TV channels, but if a game kicks off at the same time on the same day then it will be streamed on their Sky Sports + red button channel.
However, the Challenge Cup is normally available on free-to-air television. However, that has changed this season. The two games involving Hull KR versus York Knights and Wakefield Trinity against Wigan Warriors will be available live on the BBC, and will be able to be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
The other two matches between St Helens and Catalans and Warrington against Leigh will not be on free TV, but you can still watch them live. Both matches will be available on the subscription channel Super League+. It will cost £7.99 per match, or £12.99 for both of them.
All seven games will be shown by Sky Sports in some capacity over the weekend. You can watch Super League on Sky Sports or Sky Sports + this weekend and stream it through the Sky Go app or with a NOW TV pass if you do not have a Sky subscription.
Aside from the Challenge Cup, Bet365 will be offering live streaming on Super League games this season. Which ever games are not being shown on the Sky Sports main channel, then they will be streamed live at Bet365. There will be no commentary on the matches, but you will see the live pictures.
