Super League Betting Preview & Tips

Our rugby league expert and published author David Kuzio fell short last weekend with two incorrect results, but in his defence the two he got wrong were the difficult ones to predict. This week he feels confident that another full house is ready to be snapped up.

We have entered the second half of the season, and this is when we start to see which teams will be making the push for the play-offs. Check out David's acca and predictions below and see if you agree with him.

Super League Round 16 Acca

The Thursday game sees Warrington Wolves looking to bounce back from only their third defeat of the season when they entertain the Catalans Dragons. The Wolves fell well short in their top of the table clash with Leeds last week. The Dragons have won their last two games, but I cannot see them being a match for the Wolves.

Friday sees Castleford Tigers entertain York Knights. The Tigers defeated Toulouse 36-18 last Saturday, while the Knights were embarrassed as they were beaten 72-20 on home soil by the Wigan Warriors. I do not think either team is very good, but at home Castleford should be too good for the Knights.

The other game on Friday is arguably the tie of the round as leaders Leeds Rhinos take on champions Hull KR at Headingley. These two last met in Las Vegas with the Rhinos running out convincing 58-6 winners. I do not think it will be a similar result, but I am still backing the Rhinos to register the two points.

Wigan travel to Hull FC fresh off the back of a stunning win over York. The Warriors have hit some good form in recent weeks - scoring 200 points in their last four matches in all competitions. I can see another easy win for the Warriors, while St Helens should be too strong for the Bradford Bulls. Saints are not playing well, but Bradford cannot perform for the full 80 minutes. I expect a comfortable win for the visitors.

Toulouse will be looking to end a two game losing streak, while Leigh Leopards will be hoping to get back to winning ways and move a step closer to securing a top six place. The final game of round 16 sees Wakefield take on bottom club Huddersfield Giants. The Giants are not good to watch at the moment, so I am predicting Trinity to win this game without having to do much.

Warrington Wolves vs Catalans Dragons - Thursday June 25th 20:00 BST

Warrington Wolves let me down last Thursday as they failed to turn up against Leeds Rhinos and were easily turned over 34-6 on home soil. It was billed as a top of the table clash with the winner being top of the ladder on their own. Warrington were miles off it, and if they want to be at Old Trafford for the Grand Final in October, they will need to improve and find out how to win the big ones. Catalans have won their last two games since their Paris hammering at the hands of Wigan. They have recorded wins over Castleford Tigers and Toulouse in recent weeks. Unfortunately, I cannot see their mini resurgence continuing on Thursday. The Wolves will be without Toff Sipley, Cai Taylor-Wray and Sam Stone through injury, although Max Wood is in contention after being recalled from his loan spell at Hull FC. Dragons coach John Cartwright has been boosted by the return of Benjamin Garcia, Lenny Marc and Josh Simm with Tommy Makinson, Clement Martin and Leo Darrelatour all dropping out. I cannot see anything over than a Warrington win and I think it will be comfortable. I am backing them to win by 26-30 points. When it comes to try scorers, I am backing Matty Ashton, Albert Hopoate and Arron Lindop all to score at anytime, while I feel Charlie Staines will score for the Dragons.

Leeds Rhinos vs Hull Kingston Rovers - Friday June 26th 20:00 BST

This is definitely the tie of the round as league leaders Leeds Rhinos entertain defencing champions Hull KR at Headingley. These two have already met this season with the Rhinos embarrassing the champions in Las Vegas as they ran out 58-6 winners. Since then, the Rhinos have remained one of the teams to beat. They are currently top of the standings with 24 points thanks to 12 wins and just three defeats. The Robins have found their title defence hard at times, but they are still in the mix as they sit in third place with 10 wins and still a game in hand on the Rhinos. In Las Vegas, Maika Sivo crossed for four tries, and the Robins will be keen to monitor him a lot better this time around. Sivo is not the most talented player in Super League, but he is almost impossible to stop close to the line. If he can get the ball in good field position, he could be the difference once again. I am backing him to score at any time in a game that will see the Rhinos win by 11-15 points. It is hard to back against the champions, but Leeds look hungry this season, and if they want to be taken seriously as title challengers then they need to be beating teams like Hull KR. I expect Mikey Lewis to score for the Robins and I am interested to see the running battle between Lewis and reigning Man Of Steel Jake Connor. I am expecting a lot of verbals - with Connor coming out on top. I am backing both to score at anytime, while I am also going with Chris Hankinson and Brodie Croft to score for the Rhinos.

Hull FC vs Wigan Warriors - Saturday June 27th 15:00 BST

Wigan Warriors are the team to beat at the moment. They might be fourth on the ladder, but they have scored 200 points in four games - including the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley. No one at Wigan was getting hysterical when they lost four in a row earlier in the season, and they will not be getting carried away with their form now. They are loving the warm weather and scoring tries for fun. Bevan French is in the squad again, but he is yet to start a game since returning from his hamstring injury. He cannot oust Jack Farrimond at the moment and Matt Peet might move Farrimond to hooker during the game to accommodate French - like he did at York. Wigan's form might continue or it might slip again, there is a long way to go, but they are definitely the team to beat once again. Ethan Havard remains on the sidelines with a broken jaw and Sam Walters is still suspended. Hull FC welcome back James Bell, Zak Hardaker and Lennon Clark back to the squad as they replace Will Kirby, Ethan O'Neill and Max Wood - who has returned to parent club Warrington after his loan spell ended. The Black and Whites are still missing the likes of Will Pryce, John Asiata, Cade Cust, Sam Lisone, Ligi Sao, Arthur Romano and Brad Fash - I think it will be a long afternoon for Andy Last and his men. Wigan should win this comfortably, I am backing the Warriors to win by 36-40 points. If they are in the mood, they will have this game won by half time. I am backing Zach Eckersley, Adam Keighran, Bevan French, Jai Field and Jake Wardle to all score tries for Wigan. Hopefully Eckersley will make amends after failing to score any of Wigan's 72 points at York costing me £230 in the process.

Betfred Super League Betting Offers

Betfred is the principal sponsor of Super League, so it makes sense that they are running a couple of special offers every week. Below is the Betfred offers that will go hand in hand with Super League this season. These will obviously change each week, but it is a good starting point when it comes to Super League betting sites.

Double Delight

This Betfred offer runs throughout the whole campaign and gives rugby league betting fans a great incentive to get involved. The Double Delight offer sees punters receive double the odds when their selected player scores the opening try of the game and then goes on to score another later in the game.

Price Boost 1

Leeds are top of the Super League ladder with 24 points thanks to 12 wins and three defeats. They are four points clear of champions Hull KR who they take on this Friday evening. The Rhinos hammered the Robins in Las Vegas, but Betfred believes the score margin will not be as big, but the outcome will be the same. You can get odds of 2/1 that Leeds win by 1-12 points.

Leeds Rhinos to win by 1-12 points - 2/1

Price Boost 2

Betfred have odds available that Chris Hankinson will cross for a try at anytime during the 80 minutes at Headingley. Hankinson has scored five tries this season - and four in his last four games. Betfred are backing him at 7/2 to score on Friday.

Chris Hankinson to score a try anytime - 7/2 ✅

Rhinos On The Charge

Leeds Rhinos are currently top of the Super League ladder. Victory over Warrington on Thursday to move two points clear of the Wolves. Can they stay there and advance to Old Trafford to win the Grand Final? Betfred has them at 9/4 to win the Super League Grand Final for a ninth time.

Leeds Rhinos to win the 2026 Super League Grand Final - 9/4 @ Betfred
