It cannot be long until I get a full house on seven Super League matches. I was close again last weekend, but the City of Hull did not read my script properly.
I backed the champions Hull Kingston Rovers to beat Catalans Dragons in the South of France, while I backed Leeds Rhinos to beat Hull FC. I got them the wrong way around, FC beat Leeds and Rovers lost in France.
Hull FC did not take kindly to being backed against. They posted on an image on Instagram of all the people who had backed Leeds and called everyone a clown for doing so. My name appeared on the image, so hopefully I can revoke the clown licence this week.
On this page, our rugby league expert and published author David Kuzio will again attempt to pick out seven winners in his Super League acca, as well as previewing some of the big games of the weekend. See if you agree with him, or if you agree with Hull FC that he is a clown.
We have reached round 6 of Super League already, and I am feeling confident that I will get a full house this time around. On Thursday, Bradford Bulls travel to take on Castleford Tigers. I am backing the Bulls because something is not right at Castleford at the moment. they were hammered 72-6 away at Warrington, while the Bulls are enjoying life back in Super League with three wins from five matches.
Friday sees two matches taking place. Hull KR entertain St Helens in what should be the game of the round. This is the one where it is a 50-50 shot on who will win. The Robins are the defending champions, and although they are not playing well they are still a very good side. St Helens have a massive injury crisis and have won four on the bounce, but they will need to be 100% perfect to beat Hull KR - I just don't think they will be.
The second game sees York Knights host Wakefield Trinity. York have won two matches this season and pushed Wigan Warriors all the way last weekend. Wakefield seem to be improving each week and have won three from five. I am backing the visitors in this one.
Unbeaten Wigan welcome Huddersfield Giants to the Brick Community Stadium on Saturday. On paper, Wigan should win this one comfortably, but they were almost beaten by York and Huddersfield do not have a coach. Normally when a team loses a coach, the team performs well at the weekend. Time will tell, but I am backing Wigan to win.
Leigh are another team that have not started the season well with just one win. They entertain a Toulouse side who need to work on improving how they start matches. I think Leigh will have too much for the French side and get the win they need to kickstart their campaign.
Super League round 6 comes to an end on Sunday with Leeds Rhinos taking on Warrington Wolves at Headingley. This was one of the fixtures that took place in the opening round of Super League 30 years ago. Leeds were awful against Hull FC, while the Wolves have yet to lose a game. I am backing Warrington to win this one.
Hull are in action on Sunday when Catalans Dragons make the trip over. The Dragons produced their best performance of the season when they beat Hull KR, but I am backing FC to make it two wins on the spin. I am choosing Hull because the win over Leeds will have given them a massive confidence boost, plus I want to avoid being called a clown for the second week running.

It was not pretty viewing watching Castleford last weekend. They shipped in 12 tries on the way to a 72-6 loss at the hands of Warrington Wolves. There is no way the Tigers cannot play that badly again, but whether they can turn it round in less than a week is another matter. Tigers coach Ryan Carr has just been hit with the news that hooker Liam Hood is on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his knee. They have called out for a replacement in the form of Tom Forber from Wigan and he is expected to start. Bradford have won three of their opening five matches and are enjoying life back in Super League. The Bulls welcome back Loghan Lewis, Brandon Douglas, Waqa Blake and Rowan Milnes from suspension and injuries, while new signing Phoenix Steinwede has been named in the squad. I cannot see anything other than a win for Bradford Bulls. It will not be a hammering at the level of the Warrington game, but it will not be great to watch as a Castleford fan. I am backing the Bulls to win this game by over 13 points, while I expect Caleb Aekins and Blake to both score tries.

This has to be the potential to be one of the best games of round six in Super League this weekend. The Robins are the defending champions and they will go up against 10-time Super League winners St Helens. Hull KR have had a slow start to the season with three defeats and one victory. They head into this big clash on the back of a loss away at Catalans Dragons. The Saints started the new season with a loss at Warrington, but since then they have won four successive matches. They have a lengthy injury crisis, but they have managed to put that to one side with impressive performances on the field. The Robins cannot continue to put in poor performances, and I think they will get back to winning ways with a hard fought win over Saints. I am backing Rovers to win by 1-12 points. When it comes to try scorers, I am backing Joe Burgess and Oliver Gildart to cross over. They have more reasons than most to want to beat St Helens, seeing as they were both born in Wigan and have played for the Warriors - fierce rivals of the Saints.

It is top versus bottom in Super League on Saturday when Wigan Warriors play host to Huddersfield Giants. The Warriors are unbeaten in 2026 with victories in all five of their Super League matches, while the Giants have lost all five and have also sacked their head coach Luke Robinson. On paper, this should be a comfortable win for the home side. But things are never that straightforward in sport. Wigan are still without Jai Field, Bevan French and Jake Wardle, meaning Noah Hodkinson is set to continue at full back with Liam Farrell at centre and Jack Farrimond in the halves. For Huddersfield, loan signing from St Helens Jacob Douglas has been named in the squad and is set to make his debut against the team he left to move to the Saints. Huddersfield players will be eager to prove they are better than their recent results suggest and that they were not the reason Robinson was sacked. Unfortunately, I cannot see them troubling the Warriors at all. Wigan avoided a banana skin upset against York, but I cannot see something like that happening again. I am backing Wigan with a 13 points or more victory, with tries coming from Hodkinson, Junior Nsemba, Liam Marshall and Jack Farrimond.

Betfred is the principal sponsor of Super League, so it makes sense that they are running a couple of special offers ahead of the opening weekend.
Below is the Betfred offers that will go hand in hand with the start of Super League. These will obviously change each week, but it is a good starting point when it comes to Super League betting sites.
Castleford Tigers take on Bradford Bulls on Thursday evening. Many thought Bradford would struggle this season, but they have started life back in Super League well. They have won three of their five games and will feel confident going to Castleford. The Tigers were humiliated last weekend, and their fans will be wanting a response. You can get odds of 9/2 on Tigers duo Mikaele Ravalawa and Darnell McIntosh both scoring tries. Considering they only scored six points last weekend, this bet might be a gamble but a week is a long time in rugby league.
Mikaele Ravalawa and Darnell McIntosh to score tries - 9/2 @ Betfred
This Betfred offer runs throughout the whole campaign and gives rugby league betting fans a great incentive to get involved. The Double Delight offer sees punters receive double the odds when their selected player scores the opening try of the game and then goes on to score another later in the game.
Betfred has a Super League price boost treble for this weekend. They are offering customers the chance to back Castleford, Hull KR and Wakefield to win their matches. You will know that in my acca I have backed Bradford Bulls to win, so if you believe I will get one wrong and it is the Tigers game, then get on this offer. It is 3/1 from 13/5 for Castleford, Hull KR and Wakefield all to win.
Wigan Warriors won back-to-back Grand Finals in 2023 and 2024, before losing their title in last season's Grand Final to Hull Kingston Rovers. The Warriors have not boosted their squad as much as others, but the return of Oliver Partington from Catalans Dragons has added some grunt in the pack. Betfred are backing Wigan to return to Old Trafford for the fourth successive year and regain their Super League title. Do you agree?
Wigan Warriors to win the 2026 Grand Final - 5/4 @ Betfred
Sky Sports is the main broadcaster for Super League and they promise to show every single game live each week. They will broadcast a main game on their TV channels, but if a game kicks off at the same time on the same day then it will be streamed on their Sky Sports + red button channel.
All seven games will be shown by Sky Sports in some capacity over the weekend. You can watch Super League on Sky Sports or Sky Sports + this weekend and stream it through the Sky Go app or with a NOW TV pass if you do not have a Sky subscription.
Bet365 will also be offering live streaming on Super League games this season. Which ever games are not being shown on the Sky Sports main channel, then they will be streamed live at Bet365. There will be no commentary on the matches, but you will see the live pictures.
League Leaders Winners - Leigh Leopards
Grand Final Winners - Wigan Warriors
Challenge Cup Winners - Warrington Wolves
Man Of Steel - Harry Smith
A lot of people will disagree with me, and I am fine with that. It is a long season and a lot of things can happen with injuries and suspensions, but I feel Leigh will have their best season yet.
I have gone with the newly promoted teams to finish in the bottom three. This is not a dig at them, the step up to Super League is harsh. By the time they get to grips with the league, their season could already be over. I know both York and Toulouse managed two wins already, but can they match the same intensity every single week?
The next list is the latest odds when it comes to rugby league betting and who will win Super League with BetMGM.
