OOH IS IT 4/1 1.55 WOLVERHAMPTON
My first tip for Tuesdays racing runs in the 1.55 at Wolverhampton out of the David Evans stable in the name of OOH IS IT currently best price 4/1 with Bet365. He has been a steadily progressive 3 year old who put up a career best effort when finishing third last time out behind Joy Choy who won by 3 lengths over 6 furlongs at Chepstow. He led until the final half a furlong and just found the 6 furlongs a little much but returns to the minimum trip of 5 furlongs Tuesday which is likely to bring out the best in my selection.
He also ran a cracker at Bath on his penultimate start and finished 5th when looking the likeliest winner but met Traffic problems which dented his chances and ended up finishing 5 lengths back but unridden. Its only a matter of time before he gets his head in front and this is a great opportunity for him to do so. Significantly William Buick rides OOH IS IT and does very well on David Evans trained horses.
Buick is in great form himself after notching up 4 winners at the weekend. It’s likely we haven’t seen the best of my selection yet and this is a cracking opportunity for him to break his maiden. He is a standout selection for me in this race and could be tough to pass here.
HIGHEST AMBITION 7/1 4.30 NOTTINGHAM
The Marco Botti trained Highest Ambition is my Next Best selection for Tuesday and went into my tracker following a succession of runner up finishes at Wolverhampton to finish off his debut campaign.
He didn’t really deserve to lose on either of those occasions but lost nothing in defeat as these were head bobbing finishes and the pair drew well clear from the remainder of the field. He is a big scopey 3 year old who is going to improve for the switch to turf and the break wont be an issue as trainer Botti is sure to have his colt fully geared up for his return to the racetrack. A lightly raced improver and looks very well treated stepping into handicap company. Hollie Doyle takes the ride and she has a fantastic strike rate for connections. Marco Botti tends to get a lot of improvement when his 2 year olds turn 3 and theres no reason why he shouldnt be going very close here. Very unexposed at this level.
COCHISE 9/2 3.30 NOTTINGHAM
My Nap selection for Tuesday comes in the 3.30 at Nottingham where the exciting prospect COCHISE takes his chance at 2 miles for the first time. He defied a 554 day lay off when running a cracker to finish 4th on his reappearance staying on the whole way over the extended 1m 6furlongs at Chelmsford. He missed the whole of his 4yearr old campaign but showed that he still retained a ton of ability. He then backed this up when he hacked up over 1m6furlongs at Nottingham next time out after having been hampered twice on the bend and hitting traffic problems on the straight and still managed to win a shade cosily. He steps up to 2 miles for the first time but this is a test he is likely to relish on the evidence we have seen so far. Roger Charlton, his trainer, has made us aware of his intentions and believes he is a very good stayer in the making. This could just be the start for COCHISE and he will relish these conditions and will be very tough to beat. Very unexposed and likely that theres more to come but get on whilst you can as the price wont last!
