The highly anticipated grudge match between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury finally looks set to be taking place with both a date and a venue being confirmed for the contest.
Reports suggest that the two undefeated fighters will face off on December 18th in Miami at a venue still to be confirmed with an official announcement to confirm the details expected to be imminent.
Paul has become one of the most polarising stars in the sport of boxing since making his professional debut back in January of 2020 with a first-round stoppage victory over fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib.
Since then, the Problem Child has remained undefeated inside the squared circle, stopping former NBA star Nate Robinson in the second round and defeating MMA legend Ben Askren by way of a first-round finish.
Then, in the biggest fight of his career to date, Paul returned to the ring in August of this year to headline a pay-per-view card in his hometown of Cleveland Ohio. Despite suffering through serious adversity having being rocked during the fourth round, Paul earned his biggest win to date by outpointing former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley en route to a split decision victory.
In the same event, Tommy Fury notched another victory on his as-yet unblemished professional record as he improved to 7-0 with a win over Paul's teammate, MMA fighter Anthony Taylor in the opening bout of the pay-per-view card.
Despite amassing a significant celebrity status for his appearance on the 2019 edition of Love Island, and for being the brother of current reigning heavyweight king Tyson Fury, unlike his upcoming opponent, Tommy Fury has enjoyed a more conventional early boxing career thus far largely facing journeymen with losing records as he continues to amass experience.
With his extensive background in the sport, and family lineage, Fury is undoubtedly the more experienced pugilist of the two, but he has as yet failed to live up to the heights that so many have predicted for him in his professional career.
The fight will take place over eight three-minute rounds, with Fury opening as a sizeable betting favourite in the eyes of the top UK bookies as both men look to hand the other their first loss a professional.

If there wasn't enough to draw fans in already, the notorious troll Paul also announced that he would pay Fury an extra $500,000 on top of his contracted purse if he agreed that should he lose he would have to change his name to Tommy Tumbles for 12 months following the fight.
In addition to the Fury vs Paul fight, December's card will also feature women's pound-for-pound great, Amanda Serrano in the co-main event. Serrano defeated Yamileth Mercado to retain her WBC, WBO, and IBF Featherweight titles on the undercard of Paul vs Woodley, and also recently signed for Paul's Most Valuable Promotions.
