Thanks for joining me again. The Friday card for Kilbeggan is a bit less inspiring than I’d hoped it would be, but I’ve still managed to find you one decent betting tip for Friday.

This weekend there is actually some fairly decent action on the Flat, but I’ll be focusing solely on the Jumps meeting over at Stratford, where there will be far more excitement.

Betting tip for Kilbeggan

Although I only have the one betting tip for Kilbeggan, hopefully it’s a good one. This is a horse that I’m convinced is going to go under the radar on good going and he is a pretty decent price too. I’m very excited to see how he gets on tomorrow.

18:50 Kilbeggan - Handicap Chase 2m 3f – Union Park

This Handicap Chase looks very open on paper. Irish Blaze won nicely last time out and a repeat effort would put him in the picture, but he is a touch on the quirky side and that worries me as he slightly steps up in trip here. Espion Du Chenet is starting to look well-Handicapped again and has no issues, but on this ground he could well have too much to find with some of his rivals in the lineup here. Rotten Row, who runs for Tony Mullins, is the one I think is the main danger, but I’m going to take a chance on Union Park.

His trainer has been waiting patiently for optimum ground conditions, so this will be just his second start of the season. However, it should be well worth the wait, as he has already beaten a few of his rivals on a faster surface previously. When he raced at Thurles, he put up his best performance to date on good ground and everything seems to have fallen into place for him again here. This is a very trappy race, but at a decent price, I think Union Park is the best bet at Kilbeggan today.
