I love the Jumps and we have some fantastic action taking place at Cartmel tomorrow. I have two selections for you tonight that I am very happy with and I’m hoping they can take us into the weekend on winning vibe.
Then on Saturday we have the 19-runner Northumberland Plate to look forward to and I will be bringing you a runner-by-runner guide that will help you to decide on your own winning picks. Watch this space!
Before we head into the weekend, take a peek at one of my best betting offers, which comes from Bet Victor, who will give you £30 in free bets if you bet just £5. There’s no better offer around that I know of.
Christian Williams does really well with his staying Chasers and he has chosen to run Jony Max here tomorrow, along with one other. Jony Max is a very consistent type, who jumps and travels well and has been very unlucky at times, making him a little tricky to win with.
He came so close on his penultimate run in the Norfolk National at Fakenham, coming in just half a length behind Duc De Beauchene. Then, last time out at Fontwell, he was travelling really well and looking ready to win, when he was brought down at the home turn.
Before that unfortunate incident, there was plenty to like about his performance and his Fakenham form speaks for itself. Christian Williams is travelling him here from the best part of 300 miles away and given a clear run this time, he will prove difficult to beat.
For the final race of the day at Cartmel I am going to give a chance to Henry Daly’s sole runner, Fenney Brook. This mare had a really good 2022 season, winning three races and slowly improving throughout her entire campaign.
However, her standout performance came with her win at Hexham on fast ground, so a repeat performance of that would put her right in the mix. She was mainly raced over a three-mile trip last term and she will strip fitter for her recent seasonal appearance over two miles.
That was always going to be on the short side, but it should have freshened her up nicely for this. The Henry Daly team are undertaking a round trip of over 350 miles for just the one runner, which speaks volumes and makes Fenney Brook a big player at her double figure price.
Before we move on to Saturday, don’t forget to load up with some free bets, there’s plenty at Betting.co.uk for you to take advantage of.
