Selection 1 | 12.25 Southwell - GENEROUS DAY @ 5/1

GENEROUS DAY has been a little hit n miss of late however at his best I think he could be hard to beat in this. I don't fancy either of the joint favourites and think a switch to hurdles back here at Southwell suits my selection really well. The trip and conditions are near perfect so no real excuses for a poor run.

Selection 2 | 12.55 Southwell - UNE DE LA SENIERE @ 5/2

UNE DE LA SENIERE makes his chase debut and everything looks set for him to open his account. I am taking on another short price favourite here who although he has an attractive mark, he still needs to step up on what he’s done so far and I think this could suit my selection. The Fergal O’Brien team have got a fantastic strike rate switching hurdlers to fences and this is a good opportunity to open his account over fences.
