An independent entertainment talent agency based in the UK named InterTalent has created an eSports organisation to expand its markets. The brand is called XU Esports, and it’s one of those unique organisations that have unlikely beginnings yet show a promising future.

About InterTalent

What makes this particular story interesting is that you don’t normally hear a talent agency putting up an eSports org out of the blue. So, what’s with InterTalent?

InterTalent has been operating in the media industry for over 30 years. Throughout their history, they’ve dabbled with a lot of things, including acting, music, television, branding, and other outlets. They even have their hands on the whole NFT business. By adding eSports and gaming to their collection of ventures, it can be said that the circle is almost complete.

Other than being seemingly everywhere, InterTalent has worked with many noteworthy groups and personalities that will probably add glamour and credibility to the newly established organisation. Some of them include Kelly Brook, Scarlett Moffatt, Mel Ross Kemp, Mel B, Vinnie Jones, and Susanna Reid.

Not to mention, XU Esports already has its own set of clients like commentators Vearless, Plausible, and Upmind, Warzone pros Brittney Raines and Vapulear, and streamer IMAngelikaa, who is a brand ambassador for London Royal Ravens. It’s not going to be surprising when the new org attaches even more famous names to their brand seeing that they have a wide reach in the media industry. Getting started with your eSports betting journey couldn't be easier with the top eSports betting sites.

Aaron Bonsell: Leader of XU Esports

XU Esports was founded by Aaron Bonsell. Right now, we don’t know exactly what his relationship is with InterTalent. We do know, however, what his main goal is, which is to make XU Esports one of the most exciting, creative, and diverse eSports talents in the league. Perhaps InterTalent gave him the job to represent their eSports and gaming sector for good reasons.

While we’re yet to find out what these reasons are, InterTalent Managing Director Alex Segal seems convinced the company isn’t making a bad choice. He said: “It has long been an ambition of ours to move into the esports space. We are thrilled to be doing this with Aaron and XU Esports. InterTalent is a major player when it comes to the entertainment industry, and we are excited to bring our network, skillset, and ethos to the esports business. Aaron’s vision was one we immediately backed.”

According to Bonsell, “We are taking 30 years’ worth of top-level experience in talent management and translating it into the esports market to transform the way talent in this sector is managed.”. This is believable, and you can clearly feel InterTalent’s ultimate purpose just by reading the statement.

But where’s the purpose coming from in the first place? Another statement by Bonsell answers this question pretty well: “With more and more brands now translating their marketing into the competitive gaming landscape, it is more important than ever to have a team around you that builds a proper strategy”. Perhaps eSports has gone too big that it’s become too important even for a talent agency to ignore.

XU Esports

Let’s not miss the forest for the trees. After all, while XU Esports’ parent company is out for pure business, the gaming org itself isn’t simply a subtle device whose sole purpose is to open more doors that lead to money (although eSports orgs surely prioritise money just like any other form of business).

In the upcoming months, we’re expecting XU Esports to finish filling up the roles in their org and start making their move further into the eSports world. One of the early signs of this move is choosing which eSports title to spend their initial time, effort, and capital on. When this will be revealed is yet to be known although some good candidates would be Valorant, League of Legends, Dota 2, or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (commonly referred to as CS:GO).

We’re not sure about less famous titles such as Rocket League and StarCraft 1 and 2 since XU Esports will find it hard to solidify its name in smaller competitive video games with a relatively declining player base. So if your goal this year is SC2 betting or simply just to watch StarCraft 2 betting, 2022 isn’t probably the year to watch out for XU Esports’ evolution. Maybe in the future though.

Conclusion

It’s always refreshing for gaming enthusiasts to encounter a new eSports org with real potential. And with XU Esports, “potential” is really the magic word as they’re backed with strong connections and huge funding. It seems that the UK eSports scene is on the up.
