Christmas is just around the corner, and Matthew O'Regan is here to deliver his betting tips for the final weekend slate before the 25th. All singles are worth taking, but those ambitious among us may want to take the 48.79.
After coming second in the National League South last year before losing to rivals Braintree in the playoffs, expectations were high for Chelmsford this year.
Things failed to materialise after a poor start to the season, but the Clarets believe they have enough to climb the table. Back-to-back 3-2 losses to Hampton, Richmond, and Dorking won't have done too much to inspire the fanbase, but they can take solace in their 3-1 win over Slough and 1-1 draw at Worthing.
Weymouth visit the Melbourne Stadium under new management after four straight defeats. Warren Feeney has been appointed the new manager of the Terras after a stint at Glentoran, where he proved unpopular with The Glens faithful.
The 43-year-old has a mammoth task on his hands to steer bottom club Weymouth to safety and must first navigate a tricky away trip to Chelsmford. The hosts have scored 35 goals in 20 games, while the visitors have conceded 30.
Prediction: Chelmsford Win and Over 1 Goal @1.90
Two of the National League South entertainers in Chesham and Dorking face off in Buckinghamshire.
Chesham are enjoying themselves in the sixth tier after promotion and sit 14th, eight points off the playoffs. Join managers James Duncan and Michael Murray have their side playing entertaining football, scoring 30 goals and conceding 30 in 20 games, with their matches seeing an average of three goals per game. Of their 20 games, 15 have seen BTTS.
Dorking are renowned for entertainment and chaos under the guise of outspoken manager Marc White. Wanderers suffered their first-ever relegation after two seasons in the National League but are chasing instant redemption, currently sitting fifth, three points off Torquay.
Marc White's side have scored a league-high 44 goals, conceding 31 goals, with their matches averaging 3.4 goals. BTTS has landed in 17/22 of Dorking games.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Goals @2.00
National League North looks set for an exciting title race, with just ten points separating 11th-place South Shields and table toppers Curzon Ashton. Chorley sit in the middle of this pack in 7th on 35 points.
Andy Preece's side have been poor in recent weeks, losing three of their four games, but will be comforted by the fact they are still in promotion contention and face basement boys Rushall Olympic. If the Magpies are to secure promotion, they will likely rely on their home form, picking up 20 points from ten games at Victory Park.
These ten games have seen Chorley score 17 goals, scoring at least two in five, as well as FA Trophy wins over Marine and Warrington Rylands, where they scored three.
Rushall Olympic look destined for relegation. They sit bottom of the league, eight points adrift from safety and five points off 23rd-place Needham Market. Olympic have now lost five on the bounce in all competitions, including a 7-0 drubbing at the hands of South Shields.
On their travels, they have won just one of their ten games, losing the other nine, conceding 27 in the process. Of these nine losses, Rushall have conceded at least two in all nine. They will be dreading the journey up north to face a Chorley side desperate to thwart a mini blip.
Prediction: Chorley Win and Over 1 Goal @1.72
The next best bet comes from the Northern Premier League Premier Division - step three of the Non-League pyramid.
With Macclesfield, 16 points clear at the top of the table, teams in the NPL are purely fighting for the best of the rest to give themselves the best possible chance in the playoffs. Ilkeston currently sit fourth and look like a shoo-in for the playoffs.
Backed by a healthy budget, The Robins are looking for promotion to the National League North, gaining 22 points from their ten home games. Ilkeston have won the last three games at the New Manor Ground, scoring eight goals in the process. Only table-toppers Macclesfield have a better home record, having dropped only two points in 11 games.
Fellow Derbyshire side Mickleover make the short journey North-West, looking to climb out of the relegation zone and defeat their local rivals. The Sports are currently third bottom of the league, having lost nine of their last ten games.
After losing in the Southern League Premier Central playoff Semi-finals to AFC Telford, Mickelover endured a miserable summer, losing legendary manager John McGrath to Buxton, as well as being relocated to the Northern Premier League.
Defensively, Gareth Holmes' side have struggled. Only basement boys Blyth Spartans have conceded more goals. The visit to an Ilkeston side with the third most goals in the division won't fill the travelling faithful with much confidence.
Prediction: Ilkeston -1 Asian Handicap @1.825
After losing 0-8 to Dover, it looked like it was going to be a long season for Potters Bar Town. However, The Scholars have bounced back, climbing the table steadily. Max Mitchell's side are now four points off the playoffs after back-to-back home wins against Folkestone and Chichester before losing away at Hashtag United.
Potters Bar have been solid at home, accumulating 16 points from eight at The Lantern Stadium. They will look to improve on this record when the second-worst away side in the league, Bognor Regis, visit Hertfordshire.
Bognor Regis are having a torrid season and currently sit bottom of the league after five losses from six, including a 2-3 home loss to bitter rivals Whitehawk, a 4-1 loss at rivals Lewes and a 1-7 home defeat to Chatham. In these six games, The Rocks have conceded 22 goals, taking their total to 49 in just 19 games - the most in the league.
Away from home, Bognor have just four points from nine, drawing at 18th place Hastings and beating second-bottom Bowers and Pitsea. After losing their last three away games, conceding four in all three, they will be dreading facing a Potters Bar side with seven goals from their last two home games.
Prediction: Potters Bar to Win @1.80
South Shields are another one in the cluster of teams who believe they have a chance of promotion to the National League North. Elliot Dickman's side are three points off the playoffs and ten points off leaders Curzon Ashton. However, they must improve their away chance if they are to challenge at the top.
At home, they have performed well, picking up 20 points from 11 games, winning their last game at the 1st Cloud Arena 7-0 over Rushall Olympic. The Mariners boast a potent frontline containing league-top scorer Paul Blackett, who has contributed 12 goals to their league-high tally of 37.
Marine make the journey north to Tyne and Wear. After shocking Macclesfield in the playoff final, Marine have had a tough season in the National League North and sit in the relegation zone. Away from home has perhaps been the biggest struggle, with the Lilywhites having the second-worst record, accumulating just five points and scoring two goals in nine games.
Prediction: South Shields To Win @2.15
