The National League South title race was enthralling, with six teams in contention to win the title on the final day. Boreham Wood and Dorking both had a chance but a very slim one, so have to settle for another battle against each other.
Luke Garrard returned to the club in September just five months after departing, previously spending over nine years in the dugout. The 39-year-old is a widely popular figure at Meadow Park and his popularity will only sky rocket if he leads his side to another promotion.
The Wood come into this game off the back of a five game winning streak having previously lost three on the bounce. They boasted the best goal difference in the league but missed out on the title by three points - something that will irk Garrard considering they lost to 23rd place Weymouth in March.
Only Eastbourne Borough have taken more home points than Boreham Wood (49) so they will be grateful for home advantage in the quarter final. However, this may be their only home game in the playoffs unless they meet Maidstone in the final.
Abdul Abdulmalik signed a new contract on the eve of the game - something that will be certain to boost his sides morale. The 22-year-old signed in the summer and adds real pace and power to the Boreham Wood attack.
Dorking come into this game with just one loss in 19 games so will fancy their chances of causing an 'upset' in Hertfordshire. Marc White's side were relegated last season but have previous playoff-winning experience to call upon.
The Wanderers boast the best away record in the league, taking 43 points and losing just four from 23 away matches. Their last away loss came in November - a run that has seen them emerge 1-0 victors at Meadow Park, as well as drawing at Worthing and Maidstone and Eastbourne this season. White's side excel against the better teams, making them a good bet for this game.
In addition to this, Boreham Wood have struggled against the top seven, taking just ten points from the 12 games against these opponents.
