The final FA Cup round one fixture occurs on Monday evening, as National League South side Chesham United hosts League One Lincoln City at The Meadow.
After storming to the Southern League South title last year on 90 points, Chesham have taken to life in the National League South well and currently sit 10th in the league. The joint managerial duo of James Duncan and Michael Murray are now in their sixth season at the Generals and have overseen great change in Buckinghamshire.
Chesham were battling relegation to Step 4 when the duo took charge and are now challenging for promotion to the National League. Monday sees Chesham playing in the Fa Cup proper for the tenth time, reaching the third round once in 1979/1980. However, eight years ago, they won the Giant-Killing Award for defeating Bristol Rovers in the first round.
A big crowd of nearly 4,000 is expected at the Meadow, although celebrity fan and director Alex Horne is unable to attend due to a previously booked gig.
Lincoln come into this game after back-to-back 2-1 home victories over Stockport and Northampton, respectively. The Imps currently sit fifth in League One, just two points off second place Wycombe.
Manager Michael Skubala reinvigorated a stuttering side last year, ending the season in stellar form. Unfortunately, his side just missed out on the playoffs, but there is real belief from the Cincil Bank faithful that this year they can get over the line and finish in the top six.
Lincoln have a recent FA Cup pedigree, becoming the first non-league team for over a century to reach the Quarter Final in 2017. The Imps progressed through home games Altrincham and Oldham before being rewarded with a tie away at Championship side Ipswich. A draw at Portman Road saw the Tractor Boys make the journey to Cincil Bank, nold scored a last-minute where Nathan Are winner.
Brighton were then the visitors in the fourth round, with the National League leaders dismantling the promotion-chasing Seagulls 3-1. The most memorable result came away at Premier League side Burnley in the fifth round, with Sean Raggett scoring an 89th-minute winner to set up a quarter-final tie at the Emirates, eventually losing 5-0 to Arsenal.
Skubala will want to repeat these heroics this year, but they face a potential banana skin at Chesham.
As expected, Lincoln are priced as a 1.55 favourite, although many feel Chesham have the potential to upset the odds.
The Generals are potent in attack, scoring 24 goals and scoring in 12/13 games. They face a Lincoln side who have kept just three clean sheets this season, so they will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.
However, Chesham have also conceded 20 goals, failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their league games thus far. Lincoln have scored 20 goals this season, failing to score in just two of their 13 games.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in 5/6 Chesham home games and 10/13 in total in the league - the highest total in the league. Their games are averaging 3.38 goals, while Lincoln's games are averaging 2.76 goals. 9/13 Lincoln games have seen 'BTTS' while 12/13 Chesham games have seen 'BTTS.'
The goal line feels a tad low here, with Chesham capable of springing a surprise and scoring a goal.
Prediction: Over 2.5, 3.0 goal line @1.880
