National League side Dorking Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Daniel Quick, 19, from Crystal Palace on a season-long loan.
Quick, a promising defender in Palace’s youth team set-ups, joins up with Dorking as they look to retain their status as a fifth-tier club.
The 19-year-old had been a target for a number of elite clubs around Europe this season, including Champions League duo Borussia Dortmund and Rangers.
Instead, Marc White’s side have secured the signature of Quick, who is expected to play a key part in the club’s season.

Capable of playing the ball out from the back, Quick should suit Dorking’s style as a progressive, front-foot side.
Having picked up three goals for Palace’s U18s side last season, Quick provides more than just stability in defensive areas for Dorking.
Dropped straight into the side, Quick will be available for selection ahead of Dorking’s trip to Solihull Moors this weekend.
