Harrogate Town have made two significant additions to their attack this week, confirming the signings of striker Brad Dolaghan from newly-promoted Worthing and forward Josh Hmami from Halifax Town, as the Sulphurites look to arrive back at Step 1 with genuine firepower.
Dolaghan, 21, joins on a three-year deal having finished as the National League South's leading scorer last season, netting 23 league goals in 40 appearances as Worthing secured promotion under Adam Hinshelwood, who returned to Woodside in October. His overall tally across all competitions stood at 29 goals in 49 games.
An academy product at Worthing, Dolaghan spent the 2024-25 season with West Ham United before a loan spell at Aldershot Town, where he won the FA Trophy. He returned to Woodside for a second spell last season and went on to have his best campaign yet, picking up the division's Player of the Month award in November and a hat-trick against AFC Totton in March, along with goals in fixtures against Eastbourne Borough and league leaders Dorking Wanderers.
Dolaghan's arrival came just two days after Harrogate moved for Hmami, signed from Halifax Town off the back of 12 Conference goals in 2025-26. The forward gives Simon Weaver's side a second proven source of goals from outside the division, and the pair are expected to compete for starting spots as pre-season progresses.
Harrogate head of recruitment Lloyd Kelly, who has now brought in 11 new signings this summer, said the club see Dolaghan as a player with room to keep developing. "He's a natural finisher, gets in great positions and has great movement, and at 21 he's only going to get better," Kelly said. Weaver has described Dolaghan as a real threat at the top end of the pitch, adding that bringing him in alongside the club's other forward options creates strength in depth as well as competition for places.
Together, the two signings address an area Harrogate have looked to strengthen since Luke Armstrong's departure in 2023 — no other centre-forward has reached double figures in league goals for the club since Jack Muldoon's 11 in 2023-24.
Worthing confirmed Dolaghan's departure in a statement, thanking him for his contribution and describing him as a key part of last season's promotion push. The transfer fee has not been disclosed by either club. Dolaghan will wear the number 23 shirt, subject to FA and league approval, and both new arrivals are available for selection as Harrogate begin their season.
