The National League South title race has been widely discussed all season, with many teams gunning for promotion to the National League. On Good Friday, Sussex rivals Eastbourne Borough and Worthing face off in front of a sold out crowd at Priory Lane.

While the defence has been a key compartment of the season for Eastbourne, George Alexander has been crucial for his side. The 24-year-old was signed from fellow National League South side Chelmsford in the summer and tops the top scoring chart with 24 goals to his name already.
Losses away at Welling and Hornchurch, as well as at home to table toppers Truro in their last five has seen Worthing drop behind Truro in the race to the title and now sit behind the Tinners on goal difference. With Dorking still to come to Woodside Park, we could be in for a grandstand finish to the campaign.
Chris Agutter's side have scored the third most goals in the league, but have struggled defensively conceding 55 goals - the most in the top eight of the division. Away from home, they have the fourth best record in the league, with their games averaging 3.09 goals. While the games at Welling and Hornchurch were struggled due to poor playing surfaces, the astronauts turf at Priory Lane is familiar to Worthing.
Danny Cashman has contributed 25 goals and assists in the league and is often seen as his sides star player. However, his former team mate at Brighton Jack Spong has proven himself to be the best player in the league. The 23-year-old has scored six goals and laid on eight assists for his team mates from central midfield, while also being the metronome in Worthing's possession based football.
