It is a reduced National League slate on the first day of April, but Matthew O'Regan has three big priced bets that combine for an 818/1 treble.
An eight game unbeaten league run, including six wins, saw Aldershot storm clear of survival worries and gave outside hope of a playoff finish. A 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Rochdale on Saturday looks to have killed the dream, with the shots ten points off the playoff picture with just seven games to go. The visit of lowly AFC Fylde will give Tommy Widdrington's side a chance to make up some ground, but their eyes may be on other matches.
On Saturday, the Shots host bitter rivals Woking in the FA Trophy semi-finals, with the chance of reaching Wembley for the first time in the clubs history. No side have won the competition more than the Cardinals, so there is extra narrative around this game. With Woking forced to go full strength against Rochdale in their pursuit of safety, Aldershot have the luxury of resting a few key players - something I expect Widdrington to do.
AFC Fylde are fighting for their lives towards the bottom of the league. The Coasters are currently four points from safety and are in dire need of points. While they have the second worst away record in the league, their predicament coupled with Aldershot's cup distraction could see a shock win for the visitors at a big price.
Prediction: AFC Fylde to win @5.50
Undoubtedly the biggest game of the season for both sides. The sides are separated by just one point at the bottom of the National League.
Wealdstone took a huge risk in appointing Neil Gibson as manager after Matt Taylor departed to Solihull Moors. The former Connah's Quay manager has improved performances somewhat but The Stones are still riddled with inconsistency. A win would see them leapfrog Boston once more, so the pressure is on both sides to perform. The main issue for his side has been their fragility when defending set pieces, with defenders finding success regularly agains them.
Boston's renaissance under the stewardship of Graham Coughlan has been nothing short of sensational. The Pilgrims have lost just one of their last nine games, including five wins from their last six. After the 1-2 home defeat to Dagenham and Redbridge in February, Boston looked dead and buried but now sit outside the relegation zone.
After six goals last year, Jai Rowe has continued his impressive goalscoring form from right-back, boasting eight goals this season. In the National League he has averaged 0.18 goals per 90, including scoring the opener against Sutton and a brace against Woking at the start of March. The 23-year-old marauding full back is also a threat from set pieces, powering home a header from Brad Nicholson's long throw last Saturday.
Prediction: Jai Rowe To Score @19.00
Despite an upturn under Neal Ardley, Woking are still embroiled in a relegation battle and are sat just three points clear of safety. A 2-1 win over Braintree last time out has given them a bit of breathing space, but nerves will still be high at theon Kingfield Stadium.
If they are to survive, experienced midfielder Harry Beautyman will be crucial. The 33-year-old captains the side and was signed in the summer from Sutton after scoring seven goals in League Two. This year, he has 13 goals in all competitions, averaging 0.36 goals per 90. In his two previous seasons in the National League, he has scored 12 and 17 goals. Beautyman is the Cardinals penalty taker and has scored four goals in his last seven games.
Prediction: Harry Beautyman To Score @7.50
