Good Friday presents a full National League slate as teams continue to fight for playoffs and against relegation. I have three best bets for Friday's action.
After dominating the National League all season, Chesterfield were finally crowned champions after defeating Boreham Wood 3-0 on Saturday.
The Spireites have 95 points and have scored 100 goals in just 41 games. Their next game comes on Good Friday as they travel to face 19th-place York City who have won just twice in their last ten games.
Having conceded 55 goals on top of their 100 scored in their 41 games, they've averaged a mammoth 3.78 goals per game. Recent away games have seen Chesterfield concede 4,2,4,0,4 as Paul Cook's attacking style of football often leaves them exposed defensively.
After mathematically securing the league title which seemed a forgone conclusion since October, The Spireites rightly celebrated out in town and won't be blamed for taking their foot off the gas in the remaining weeks.
Adam Hinshelwood has had a mixed start in his six games in charge of the Minstermen. However, one thing he has brought is goals, with York scoring in five of his six games in charge.
This would come as no surprise as regular watches of the National League South, as Hinshelwood's old Worthing side have scored a league-high 84 goals.
With York battling to stay in the National League and Chesterfield on the beach after already securing the title, York will fancy their chances of getting at least one goal.
Selection: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 goals @2.00
Tahvon Campbell has struggled to settle down at a club since his move from Woking to Rochdale was unsuccessful. Since this he has played for Aldershot, Wealdstone and now Solihull Moors, showing considerable improvement at each.
In his 19 games at lowly Wealdstone, the 27-year-old scored six goals. Since joining the Moors, he has made ten starts, scoring seven goals. This includes goals in five of his last six matches as he looks to push Solihull to the playoffs.
Barnet are the visitors to the ARMCO Arena on Friday, looking to secure second place. The Bees have conceded 30 goals in 21 away games and have kept just four clean sheets on their travels thus far.
Selection: Tahvon Campbell To Score @3.60
After getting relegated from Sky Bet League 2 last campaign, Hartlepool have endured a tough return to the National League. After John Askey was dismissed in December, veteran manager Lennie Lawrence was appointed as interim manager, before Sunderland legend Kevin Phillips was appointed as the new manager.
The Monkey Hangers currently sit in 14th after failing to win in their last five, including a humbling 7-1 defeat at Gateshead last time out. Phillips' side are only five above the drop zone, so they will be desperate for a response against an in-form Halifax. Another disappointing aspect of their season is their fragile defence, with only Eastleigh and already relegated Oxford City conceding more.
Over the last 10 games, FC Halifax are the most in-form team in the league, accumulating 21 points. The Shaymen have won seven of their last eight, with their only defeat in this period coming away at 3rd place Bromley.
Only Southend have conceded fewer goals than Chris Millington's side, with club stalwart Sam Johnson proving to be one of the best goalkeepers in the league again.
FC Halifax will be high on confidence having just beaten champions Chesterfield 4-2 in their last game. With the contrasting form of both sides, FC Halifax's price presents real value.
Selection: FC Halifax To Win @3.00
