After an 8.50 winner last week, coming out with a slight profit on the lucky 15, I am back with a 165308 odds goalscorer pick this week.
It wouldn’t be a National League goalscorer acca without including Josh Stokes. The 19-year-old has been a standout player for the Shots this season since arriving from Sudbury in the town. The teen sensation is Aldershot’s top league scorer this season, with nine goals in the National League. Eight of these goals have come at the Recreation Ground.
Halifax are two places and one point behind Saturday’s hosts, sitting in eighth place. They are the lowest scorers by some distance in the top half, scoring just 24 in 21 games. However, The Shayman have been more clinical in front of goal in recent weeks, scoring in eight of their last nine games and scoring 2+ in six of these. Their top scorer is Millenic Alli, who has five goals, including three in his last six. With the 23-year-old scoring nine goals last season, he will be keen to match this tally.
Josh Stokes and Millenic Ali to score: 17.00
Two teams that occupy the playoff spots due to their attacking potency are Altrincham and
Altrincham are this season’s dark horses, sitting in seven with a game in hand on many teams in front of them. Phil Parkinson’s side have entertained and have looked strong going forward, despite the absence of Regan Linney through a two-month injury. One player who has stepped up in Linney’s absence is youngster Chris Conn-Clarke. The 22-year-old returned in the summer on a permanent deal after a successful loan spell, and the attacker may be on the cusp of a return to the Football League—with or without Alty. He has six in ten and is on penalties. Whether he keeps penalty-taking duty or not after his miss against Rochdale remains to be seen, but his price represents value nonetheless.
Another young attacker on an upward trajectory is Solihull Moor’s Josh Kelly. The 24-year-old boasts an impressive 10 goals this season, hitting double digits for the third season in a row after scoring 11 the season before and 15 in his final campaign for Maidenhead. He has scored three in his last four games and is the Moors penalty taker.
Chris Conn-Clarke and Josh Kelly to score 11.00
Now, onto the two bigger odds doubles. We have a bet from the early KO between AFC Fylde and Dorking FC.
Despite scoring 30 goals already on their return to the National League, AFC Fylde sit just 2 points off the bottom of the league, with their 41 goals conceded a league-high. There are signs of progress, though, with the Coasters beating Oldham 3-0, Gateshead 0-4, and earning a credible 2-2 draw away at Halifax with ten men in recent weeks. One real positive for AFC Fylde this season has been the emergence of Taelor O’Kane. The 18-year-old academy graduate has started eight games, scoring four goals from midfield. His brace in the last game against FC Halifax was a prime example of his deadly instincts in front of goal.
Dorking are also a team to watch for entertainment. Marc White’s side have seen over 2.5 goals land in the last six games. Veteran striker Jason Prior has been in fine fettle this season, scoring eight goals in 17 appearances thus far, adding to his seven in his last campaign. He did come off with an injury in the 2-1 win over Boreham Wood. If he is not fit enough to start, his striker partner, Alfie Rutherford, is the same price to score. The 25-year-old enjoyed a goalscoring return to the starting lineup after a lengthy layoff.
Taelor O’Kane and Jason Prior to score- 34.00.
The final selections come from Dagenham, as Dagenham and Redbridge host Rochdale.
Dale have been in fine goalscoring form in recent weeks, scoring 2+ in their last seven and failing to score in just three of their 21 games so far. Ryan East has been crucial to this goalscoring run, with the on-loan midfielder scoring four in the last three, including a brace in the 3-0 win over Altrincham. The 25-year-old is already on his best goalscoring run of his senior career, so he is clearly a player full of confidence.
Another player in fine goalscoring form is Kairo Mitchell, who has scored in the last three games. The 26-year-old struggled for regular game time at Notts County, but found some form at Eastleigh last season, scoring four in 13. However, the Grenada international has found a home at Rochdale and is on 10 goals for the season.
Ryan East and Kairo Mitchell to score: 26.00
