National League + National League South and North - Player Of The Season

This week, the nominations were announced by the Enterprise National League for Young Player of the Season, Player of the Season and Manager of the Season, for each of the respective divisions.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON

National League
:

Ollie Pearce (York City),
 Mani Dieseruvwe (Rochdale),
 Abdul Abdulmalik (Boreham Wood)
Gus Scott-Morriss (Southend United)

My vote:

OLLIE PEARCE

Pearce’s exploits in the National League have become unrivalled in recent years. This time around, his goalscoring qualities have finally helped York to get themselves over the line in a thrilling, to-to-toe battle with Rochdale. 31 goals in 2024/25 followed by 34 in the most recent campaign, simply breathtaking to take the Minstermen to 114 goals for the campaign.

National League North:


Danny Ormerod (AFC Fylde)
 Paul Blackett (South Shields)
 Tyrone Marsh (Bedford Town) 
Lewys Twamley (Merthyr Town)

My vote:

PAUL BLACKETT

Golden Boot, back-to-back. What more is there to add about Paul Blackett? The best striker in the division in recent years, he has once again been instrumental in propelling South Shields to the play-off final this term. Thirty goals in 2025/26, following 23 in 2024/25. A player who, I believe, could comfortably make the grade in the National League, or even higher.

 Louis Britton (Weston-super-Mare)
 Wiktor Makowski (Worthing)

My vote:

BRAD DOLAGHAN

See here but, more than anything else, a credit to Dolaghan for hitting the ground so quickly, a cut above the rest, the other options in there, Louis Britton is another player who can count himself somewhat unfortunate to fall short to Dolaghan in my eyes, but, will be one to keep an eye on again next season having really hit a permanent purple patch infront of goal, rising up the ranks having stalled in his career a couple of years ago when playing in the North for Chorley and Marine.
