    Stockport Town have appointed Matt Jansen as manager.

    The former Blackburn Rovers star has been working with nearby Stockport County in recent times, having joined the Hatters at the start of last season as part of a new scouting team.

    This now marks a return to management for the ex-Chorley boss.

    Jansen, 43, will also be eligible to play for the NWCFL First Division South club, having signed non-contract forms.
