Hereford United Vs Curzon Ashton

Mid-table sides forced to split the points

A back and forth game between the sides resulted in an entertaining 2-2 draw at Edgar Street. The lead shifted on 2 occasions, showcasing Hereford’s ambition to push for a position amongst the top half after a previous run of excellent results.

Curzon Ashton took a vital early lead through forward Jack McKay in just the 2nd minute. However, the away sides recent poor form, winning only once in their previous 5 league games coming into the fixture, was showcased conceding an equaliser just 6 minutes later through Jaanai Gordon.

Tom Owen-Evans gifted The Bulls with the lead just before the half-hour mark. Josh Gowlings side were able to maintain their 1 goal cushion until the 64th minute when Ashton midfielder Craig Mahon was on target to equalise.

York City Vs Chorley

10 Ministermen hold off points from the Magpies

Promotion chasing Chorley will feel wounded after failing to take advantage of a dismantled York City side. Following a red card for City defender Matthew Brown for a reckless challenge on Billy Whitehouse, the Magpies were only able to draw 1-1.

York gained an early lead in the 11th minute, defender Akil Wright scoring his 3rd goal of the season from a Mark Beck assist. Mid-table City looked in control and comfortable until just after the half-hour mark when they went down to 10 men.

Newly appointed striker Harry Cardwell scored his first goal for Chorley just before half-time, a superb free-kick on the edge of the box gave them their equaliser. Despite their advantage in the second half, the away side were only able to gain a point from the match, leaving them in 5th place.

Farsley Celtic Vs Gateshead

Gateshead goal-fest gifts them with yet another win

The Tynesiders promotion-chasing form continued with a 5th straight league win to send them into 3rd place having played fewer games than those around them.

After Gateshead took the lead in the 26th minute through Paul Blackett scoring his 4th of the season, the West Yorkshire side responded almost immediately. A converted penalty from William Hayhurst and a Chris Atkinson goal in the space of 3 minutes turned the tide of the game and put the league strugglers in front.

Jordon Richards scored after the break to make it 3-1 and put Celtic on course for a shock win. However, Gateshead top scorer Macaulay Langstaff narrowed the gap just 10 minutes later to give his side hope. A red card for Farsley forward Jimmy Spencer just after the hour mark opened the gate for a Tynesider turn-around. Cedwyn Scott took advantage and scored a brace in the final half-hour to scrape back a vital win for Gateshead.

Spennymoor Town Vs Chester

Spennymoor play out Moor-ch needed win

The Moors earned a vital 4-2 win after a poor run of form saw them pick up just 2 points in their previous 8 league games.

Rob Ramshaw gave the home side the lead just on the brink of half-time; with midfielder Luke Spokes gifting Spennymoor a 2-0 cushion in the 68th minute. However, in classic recent fashion from the home-side, they conceded goals from Darren Stephenson and Jude Oyibo to equalise for Chester.

However, Spennymoor forward Glen Taylor scored a miraculous brace in the latter stages of the game to snatch what would have been a much-needed point for Chester who continue to flirt with the relegation zone sat in 16th place.

AFC Telford Vs Kettering Town

Kettering crumble in second half against Telford

Bottom club Telford United managed to gain a vital point against mid-table Kettering in a game that finally put their league points tally into double figures.

It looked to be just another day at the New Bucks Head when Jordan Crawford for Kettering put them in front in the 18th minute. Further misery was placed onto The Bucks when Alex Brown doubled their lead just before the half-hour mark, leaving the score at 2-0 to the away side by half-time.

However, Kettering seemed to switch off in the second half, allowing an eager Telford team to muscle their way back into the game. Buck defender Theo Streete gave Telford a goal back in the 62nd minute before Kai Williams scored a late equaliser from a corner; finding space at the back post from a few yards out.

Boston United Vs Kidderminster Harriers

Hemmings the hero as Harriers beat The Pilgrims

With both teams having ambition for the play-offs in mind, this was a largely tight yet competitive meeting at the Jakemans Community Stadium.

The deadlock was broken early on in the 13th minute, a corner from Ashley Hemmings was placed accurately towards the head of defender Alex Penny who made no mistake in putting the ball into the net.

Harriers carried the lead until mid-way through the second half, until Boston equalised through forward Jake Wright in the 64th minute. However, Harriers top scorer Ashley Hemmings produced a moment of magic that took all 3 points home. A wonder goal gave him his 9th strike in 15 games to keep Kidderminster firmly inside of the play-off positions in 4th place.

Brackley Town Vs Guiseley

Saints sit top as Guiseley give out

Brackley Town kept up with the pace as league leaders and stretched their unbeaten run in the competition to an impressive 9 games overall. A tight 1-0 win over strugglers Guiseley at St James Park, who now sit worryingly in 20th position, was enough to put them a point ahead of the pack with a game in hand.

A sole goal from midfielder Matt Lowe in the 13th minute gave him a 5th goal in 16 games, placing him in 20th position in the National League North top scorers list.

The result leaves the away side with just 1 victory in their previous 7 league games, coming in with a 1-0 win over Chester in November.

Darlington Vs Fylde

Darlington dint top spot for the Coasters

Mid-table Darlington pulled off the shock of the day in the National League North to beat high-flying AFC Fylde at Blackwell Meadows. Forward Luke Charman scored the sole goal in a tight 1-0 win. This was his 9th goal in 13 games to maintain his position as Darlington’s main talisman and keep him in 5th place in the overall league top scorers list. The home sides defence did well to keep out Nick Haughton who is the joint head of the pack in the division with 12 goals.

The deadlock was broken at the half-hour mark, Charman scored to ultimately award the win to the home side and hand them a 2nd victory in 5 league games. Fylde fall to defeat for just the 3rd time in 17 matches within the division.

Defeat for Fylde resulted with their position in top spot being taken by Brackley.

Alfreton Town and Gloucester City each scored a second half goal to draw 1-1 at the Impact Arena Stadium.

Kelsey Mooney scored a 70th minute equaliser against Bradford PA to leave the score at 1-1.

Southport scored twice in 2 minutes courtesy of goals from midfielders Niall Watson and Joshua Hmami to gain a 2-1 win over struggling Blyth Spartans.
